Chapter 112
Yvonne silently admitted that she was still no match for older men like Eric.
She looked at Samuel and asked, “You didn’t say all that on purpose, did you, Mr. Hover?”
He looked back at her innocently. “Of course not. I just returned to the country, and this project used to be under Mr. Hall’s jurisdiction. I only have the authority to make the decisions.”
While he spoke, he instructed Howard to make an important phone call.
Soon, Liam called Yvonne.
He explained that Hover Group had never actually decided on a theme for the lifestyle shopping center project’s plaza. He then went on to say that intangible cultural heritage attractions were very suitable for the plaza, so Hover Group’s cooperation was
based on commercial considerations.
After hearing what he had to say, Yvonne’s doubts were dispelled.
As she silently mulled over everything, Eric kept shooting her pointed looks from beside her.
“Let’s try combining the Intangible Cultural Heritage Promotional Event with Hover Group’s project, then, Mr. Hover,” she said
at last.
Eric was relieved to finally hear those words from Yvonne. The future of the Department of Arts and Culture was secured!
Samuel hid a smile and secretly sent a text message to Liam. “I’ll be the one in charge of the lifestyle shopping center project, and you’ll be its supervisor in name. Don’t slip up and give the game away.”
After the meeting ended, Yvonne and Samuel remained in the conference room.
“I know that both Ford Corporation and Feland Group are bidding on the lifestyle shopping center project, Mr. Hover. If the Department of Arts and Culture and Professor Weedle are only in charge of thematic preparations and event–related information, is Hover Group responsible for the actual execution at the lifestyle shopping center?”
Samuel replied, “Hover Group won’t be in charge of that. It’ll be a test for the ones bidding on the project.”
Samuel was a man capable of multitasking. While he spoke seriously about official business, he gazed at Yvonne with a gentle, restrained look in his eyes.
He just liked being able to speak with her face–to–face.
“So, should Hover Group choose Ford Corporation or Feland Group?” he asked.
Yvonne took a deep breath before replying, “My job is to promote intangible cultural heritage. I can’t make decisions for Hover Group.”
“We haven’t actually made a decision yet. Both Ford Corporation and Feland Group have their advantages,” Samuel said with a lazy smile.
“In that case, let’s see which company can match your promotional theme, Ms. Jamison. Hover Group will choose th that performs the best.”

Yvonne was surprised to hear that.
Did he mean that the Intangible Cultural Heritage Promotional Event that she was responsible for was actually going to become the dilemma that Jared and Luther would have to solve in their competition for the project?
At two o’clock in the afternoon, Jared was seated at the head of the table in Ford Corporation’s conference room.
Frederick announced, “I received a notification from Hover Group that the bid for the lifestyle shopping center project will be

based on the theme of intangible cultural heritage promotion, which the Department of Arts and Culture and Professor Jean Weedle’s team are in charge of.
“Ford Corporation and Feland Group have both now received the relevant information from the Department of Arts and Culture. This will be Ford Corporation’s most important commercial project going forward.”
Besides Jared, all the department managers were present, and the marketing department, headed by Selena, was participating in the meeting as well.
Everyone was attentively reading through the information on the theme of the intangible cultural heritage promotion.
At that moment, Jared suddenly found himself lost in thought, looking at the orderly, detailed plans laid out in front of him.
He thought of Yvonne.
Back when he took over Ford Corporation, it was the greatest test of his claim to the family legacy.
At that time, Yvonne hadn’t been able to adapt to such high–intensity work, so it had been a most difficult time for her.
He’d still been required to entertain business partners, but when he returned in the early hours of the morning, he would realize that Yvonne wasn’t home. She would instead stay overnight at the company, working overtime.
Later on, she started to take charge of all documentation work and maintain all his affairs in an orderly fashion.
He was different from the other wealthy heirs of his generation in that he hadn’t undergone any training.
It was his ambition and his and Yvonne’s joint efforts that had allowed him to become Ford Corporation’s president.
And the project plan in front of him was really reminiscent of Yvonne’s style.
He suddenly felt a shift in his own emotions. For some reason, he found himself swallowing lightly and felt inexplicably
nervous.
“Who wrote this project plan, Frederick?” he asked.
Was it possible that it was Yvonne?
