Yvonne received Jean’s call for help in the morning.

“I don’t even dare answer any calls now, because they’ll either be asking for me or my apprentice. It’s really rather annoying.”
Yvonne didn’t expect things to be this bad.
“Was it wrong for me to agree to Hover Group’s proposal yesterday, Professor Weedle?” she asked hesitantly.
“Of course you were right!” Jean exclaimed with a smile. “Without Hover Group’s financial backing, we wouldn’t be able to promote intangible cultural heritage on such a large scale.
“Although we’re cooperating on a commercial project, Hover Group has left the decision–making power to you. I believe that you’ll definitely see our initial idea through.
“Mr. Hover holds great respect for intangible cultural heritage, and retaining the power to make the decisions is a principle that I agree with.”
Yvonne looked curiously at the gifts as she said, “I know that Hover Group has already sent my proposal plan to Ford Corporation and Feland Group and that both companies will be competing to be a part of this event project. So, we’ll be very busy in the coming days.”
“Thank you for the hard work, Yvonne,” Jean said warmly before asking in concern, “Will it affect your preparations for the competition?”
Yvonne smiled brightly. “No, it won’t. The work on my design sketches is going smoothly, and there’s still time until the competition. I’ll seize this opportunity to promote intangible cultural heritage as best as I can.”
Jean felt very gratified to hear that. “Alright. We’ll just let them bother me, then, so all my apprentice has to do is prepare for the plan with peace of mind. However, please help me return all these items to the Department of Arts and Culture.” Feland Group had been really generous with their gifts. There were a lot of them, and they were all expensive.

Yvonne had to make three trips to get them into her car, and by that point the trunk of her car was so full that it couldn’t fit any more gifts.
In the end, she had to carry the last two gift boxes by hand, both of which had Feland Group’s logo printed very conspicuously on top of them.
Just then, she ran into Selena, who just happened to be driving up to Jean’s house.
When Selena caught sight of her, she immediately came to a misunderstanding
“In what capacity have you shown up here to deliver gifts on behalf of Feland Group, Yvonne?” she asked snidely.
Yvonne said nothing in return. Instead, she just looked at the gifts Selena had brought along and sighed.
“Don’t bother delivering those gifts. They’ll just be returned.”
She didn’t want to bother Jean any more than this.
Selena sneered unhappily and retorted, “I’m different from you. Ford Corporation is more sincere.”
Yvonne couldn’t be bothered trying to convince Selena otherwise. At worst, she would just return to help Jean return the gifts again later.
Soon after she left, Selena was also rejected by Jean, and her gifts were returned on the spot.
The more she thought about it, the angrier she became.
“I already saw Yvonne deliberately approaching Luther before. Is she really planning to switch sides and work as a secretary for Feland Group instead? How could she do this to Jared? What a truly fickle woman!”
She was so angry about it that she grabbed her things and headed to the Ford residence immediately, intending to complain about Yvonne.
