Chapter 153
Tamid had come to demand the will, never expecting Sylvia would stand up for Casey.
He couldn’t help but rise from his chair, giving Sylvia a long, appraising look.
Tamid leaned in, feigning confusion. “What was that? Didn’t quite catch it. Who exactly are you calling a dog?”
He leaned in closer to Sylvia, deliberately lowered his head and exaggeratedly cupped his ear, pretending he hadn’t heard her clearly.
“Tamid, how dare you disrespect Ms. Sullivan? Get out of my house this instant,” Casey demanded.
Pressed against the edge of the bed, Casey tensed up. Limited by her leg injury, she iristinctively grabbed for her cane, ready to strike at Tamid.
Tamid snatched the cane from her grasp and swung it violently, sending Casey crashing heavily to the floor.
Sylvia’s face darkened. She slapped Tamid hard across the face. “Deaf or what? I said you’re a filthy dog. Need me to repeat myself?”
Tamid staggered back, gaping at Sylvia in utter disbelief. Not only was her slap shockingly powerful, but she’d actually dared to strike him in front of
everyone.
Sylvia quickly helped Casey to her feet and gently settled her back onto the bed.
Tamid snarled, “You must have a death wish.”
Tamid clutched his stinging, reddened cheek, his eyes turning murderous. He shot a meaningful glance at his men and snarled through clenched teeth, “Don’t hold back. Beat them within an inch of their lives.”
Freddy had been watching through the window. Though he had been paid by Joanna to harm Sylvia, seeing her risk her life to protect her mother made him grow frantic. Unable to stand by any longer, he grabbed a steel pipe leaning against the wall.
Just as he was about to charge in, Sylvia’s icy voice cut through the room. “Tamid, seems you’re throwing away your last chance. Do I really need to call your master?”
With that, Sylvia whipped out her phone and dialed Byron’s number.
Byron had just finished reviewing a document when his mind wandered back to that run–in with Sylvia at school, and his brow furrowed.
‘Sylvia’s outrageous. She showed me absolutely no respect in front of everyone,‘ Byron wondered. Just because I left when she told me to, does she really think I’m afraid of her?
“All because of the kids. If I’d argued with her at school, they would’ve been heartbroken.”
He gritted his teeth and decided to give Sylvia the cold shoulder for the time being lest she push her luck even further.
Just then, his phone rang, the caller ID, Sylvia.
All his previous resolve vanished in an instant as he snatched up the call without hesitation. “What’s wrong? What happened?”
Sylvia asked coldly, “Is there someone named Tamid at your company?”
“He’s in charge of business operations in our department,” Byron replied.
“Byron, what an exemplary employee you’ve got. Harassing an elderly woman. Your company sure knows how to nurture cnt. So, tell me. Should I hold your entire corporation accountable for this?” Sylvia demanded.
Byron frowned, his voice tense. “What exactly happened? Where
you right now?”

“Come see for yourself,” Sylvia snapped coldly, sending him the address.
Byron’s face turned icy. He immediately contacted HR and confirmed that Tamid hadn’t shown up for work today. Could RESTA provoked Sylvia?‘ he wondered.
Byron’s first instinct was to call Tamid, but then it struck him. Even if something really had happened, tamid would never come clase.
Now that Sylvia had sent him the address, Byron decided to go see for himself.
“Who the hell are you calling?” Tamid narrowed his eyes, glaring icily at Sylvia.
“Byron,” Sylvia said coldly.
Tamid had actually heard Byron’s name, but he let out a mocking laugh, pretending not to care. “You really think I’ll fall for that? Just because you make a call and drop a name, I’m supposed to believe you?”
Ignoring his mockery, Sylvia said coldly, “You just wait right here. He’ll be here any minute.”
Tamid scoffed, even more convinced Sylvia was bluffing. He sneered, “Who the hell do you think you are? You really think one phone call can summon the infamous Tyrant to come running? Do you even have a clue what time means to people like us? Time is money.”
He shot his men a sharp glance and barked, “Tear this place apart. Find my father’s will now.”
That slap from Sylvia? He’d get his revenge eventually. But right now, finding the will was his top priority.
He looked Sylvia up and down–exquisite features, a curvaceous figure. ‘Who would’ve thought a godforsaken backwater like this would have such a tempting morsel?‘ he thought. ‘Once I get that will, she’s coming with me too.’
Unable to contain himself any longer, Freddy, who had been watching from outside the window, suddenly snapped. With a furious roar, he charged in, swinging a steel pipe with all his might at one of the black–clad men.
“Nobody moves. Get the hell out of my house,” Freddy roared. The steel pipe came down hard, sending the man in black crashing to the floor.
Tamid’s eyes narrowed viciously. “You bastard? Your mother’s an old hag who just won’t die, and you’re just a little pest who refuses to die too. Don’t blame me for what’s coming.”
At his command, the remaining men in black swarmed in and ganged up on Freddy.
Despite Freddy’s decent hand–to–hand combat skills, he was quickly overwhelmed by the sheer number of attackers. Soon, he was forced into a fetal position on the ground, desperately shielding his head from the blows.
Tamid yanked Freddy up by the collar. “Talk. Where’s your mom hiding the will?”
Freddy glared defiantly, spat right in his face, and snarled, “Fuck off.”
Seeing her son being beaten, Casey cried out desperately and tried to rush to his aid. But with her leg in a cast and barely able to move, she nearly fell of
the bed.
Sylvia quickly steadied Casey, narrowed her eyes, and in a flash, several silver needles appeared between her fingers.
In a flash, several silver needles shot through the air, embedding themselves in the back of Tamid’s hand.
Tamid felt a sharp pain shoot through the back of his hand, his entire arm going numb. Involuntarily, he let go of
dy and staggered back.
‘Looks like you’re asking for trouble. Siding with Casey and Tamid against me?‘ Tamid ripped out the silver needles, fixing Sylvia with a venomous, snake–like glare.
Behind him, the black clad men all fixed their eyes on her in unison.

Tamid was seething with rage, his crimson eyes fixed on Sylvia, not caring who she was or what connections she had. Há balened at his pe takes her down first gets 300 thousand dollars.
Lured by the promise of cash, the desperate thugs were worked into a frenzy, their eyes gleaming with great.
“300 thousand dollars? That’s quite the bold claim. Before the words had even faded, the sound of measured, powerful fontstops ecfined from nstada, cutting straight through the tense atmosphere in the room.
The towering figure appeared in the doorway, radiating an icy, commanding aura.
The newcomer had strikingly handsome, chiseled features, but his brow was etched with a chilling ferocity.
As he lifted those fathomless, ice–cold eyes, an invisible wave of oppressive energy radiated outward, making it hard for anyone nearby to even breathe.
Tamid’s jaw dropped as he recognized the figure. “M–Mr. Blair?” he gasped. “Why are you here?”
