Lucian froze, hugged his mate, and didn’t say anything.
Lady Grimfang sighed. “I haven’t seen her for over ten years since she lost her child and changed like that. I don’t know how she’s doing now.”
“Don’t worry.” Lucian said helplessly. “Lexie is doing well at the Stafford Pack, with their son supporting her. And Devan really cares about her–he couldn’t to bear to end with Lexie even she’s like this!”
“If I became like Lexie, would you be willing to end the mating bond with me?”
Lady Grimfang glanced at him.
Lucian shouted in protest, “Hell no! No way!”
Aria went to Dr. Marcus’s office and told him what Lady Grimfang said.
Dr. Marcus was genuinely happy for her. “Sure, Royal Lycan Hospital has much better benefits than Silverstone Medical Center. And now with Lady Grimfang’s recommendation, transferring to Royal Lycan Hospital will be easier for you.”
Aria nodded with a smile.
She was about to leave when she suddenly remembered something, stopped at the door, and said, “Dr. Marcus, there’s something I want to ask you.”
Dr. Marcus took a sip of coffee. “Hmm? What’s up?”
“My transfer report remains the same. If anyone asks, just tell them I’m at Crescent Moon Medical Center. I don’t really want others to know that I’m actually at Royal Lycan Hospital.”
What she said about “others” also includes Kane. Dr. Marcus agreed.
Aria got back to Moonrise Apartments in the evening and ran into Kane as soon as she walked in.
He was wearing a smoke–gray shirt, standing by the floor–to–ceiling window making a phone call.
She couldn’t hear what he was talking about.
Kane also saw Aria in the reflection in the glass.
After ending the call, Kane slowly turned around and walked towards her “No cooking tonight, let’s order takeout.”
Aria was also too lazy to cook, so she agreed.
Kane ordered delivery from Fang & Claw Nightclub–all the delicious dishes were delivered by a special car. Not only that, they also sent a bouquet of roses, two bottles of champagne, and scented candles.
Dinner was quite sumptuous, and the atmosphere was romantic.
