Chapter 22
Chapter 22
“Is there anything I can do to make you feel better at this moment?” Pierce offered,
“No, you just listening is more than enough. I haven’t even told Jesse everything I’ve told you. It was nice to get it off my chest.”
“I feel honored that you felt that you could open up to me.”
“Yeah, don’t mention it. Get up so I can put something on. Find something to watch on TV, yeah?”
“Sure, I’m just going to wash my hands.”
Pierce slowly washed his hands in the sink and prayed this was the last time Arianna’s parents came sniffing around, but the chances of that were slim. Pierce returned to bed and found Arianna cloaked in his dress shirt, and he couldn’t help but be turned on by how the fabric shrouded her figure and hid her delectable body from him.
“You want some?” Arianna asked, offering a spoonful of cookies and cream ice cream to him.
“Just a little taste,” he agreed, climbing into bed with her. To Arianna’s surprise, Pierce pushed the spoon away and began sampling the sweet cream off her pink tongue. She moaned into the kiss and accidentally dropped the spoonful of ice cream down her chest. Pierce didn’t hesitate to follow the creamy droplets that trickled between her small breasts. Arianna was dismayed when Pierce pulled away right when it was getting good. She tried to guide his head towards her nipples, but Pierce was stubborn.
“Not tonight, Ari.”
“May I ask why not?”
“Because I’ve used up the last little bit of my self–control.”
“Seems like you didn’t have much to start with.”
“I had a shit ton of self–control, but it all started to dwindle as soon as I saw you in your dress tonight. Then you slipped me that message about you not wearing panties. My self–control continued to wither away every time you would lock eyes with me while you were on the stage. I was almost on empty when you were touching me in the car. Then you had to go and call me your husband, shower with me, and let me massage you. It ain’t there anymore, little girl. Now, finish your ice cream and go to bed. Wait, let me fall asleep first because you snore.”
Pierce chuckled once he received a face full of pillow. “That’s not very nice of you, Pierce,” Arianna chastised, slipping out of bed so that she could put the remainder of her ice cream in the freezer.
“Sweetheart, I’m only telling you the truth, and you know it.”
Arianna rolled her eyes and grabbed her phone, which she had long forgotten about, off the nightstand. She missed a couple of FaceTime requests from Jesse and found a text message from him asking her if she wanted to go to breakfast in the morning. Arianna declined his invitation but agreed to meet up later. She replaced her phone on the charger and climbed into Pierce’s waiting arms. He kissed her forehead and pulled the comforter over them. Pierce soothingly ran his hand up and down Arianna’s back. It wasn’t long before the couple passed out.

“Thanks for making breakfast this morning,” Arianná praised.
“Well, I was up early because someone was directly snoring in my face. I couldn’t fall back asleep, so I might as well make myself useful,” Pierce teased.
“I don’t think we’re ever going to make this work if you can’t handle a little snoring.”
“A little? You need to see an ENT specialist for whatever you got going on. I know a great one if you need a referral.”
“I don’t know. It’s never bothered me before,” Arianna teased.

Chapter 22
“That would be sad if your snoring was so disruptive that it woke you up out of your own sleep.”
“Hush. Matter fact, get yourself together so that I can take you home.”
“I make one little joke about your snoring, and you go and kick me out,” Pierce mumbled. “I’ll be needing this,” he said, slowly unbuttoning his shirt from Arianna’s body. He slipped his hand in, squeezed her small breasts, and pinched her tiny nipples. Arianna bit her bottom lip to prevent herself from moaning. She didn’t want to give Pierce the satisfaction.
A few minutes later, Arianna and Pierce were dressed and headed downstairs.
“Um…where’s my car? We parked it right here last night, in my assigned space, right?”
“I’m pretty sure that we did, sweetheart.”
“So…where the fuck is my car?”
“Arianna…do your parents, by chance, have a spare key to your car?”
“Yes, they fucking do…along with the got damn title because it was still in their names. Motherfuckers!”
Pierce watched dumbfoundedly as Arianna paced back and forth in the parking lot, cursing like a tiny sailor. Her parents most likely received the title in the mail once Arianna paid the car off and stole it so that they could feed their gambling addiction.
Pierce couldn’t believe Arianna’s parents could be so slimy, and it was clear they didn’t track her down to make amends for their wrongdoings. They tracked her down just to fuck her over one more time. On top of all that, they didn’t even have the guts to tell her. They were too worried about finding out who Pierce was to Arianna. It was evident Arianna’s parents didn’t care about her. They didn’t stop and think about how it would affect their daughter to leave her stranded without transportation. Yes, there were rideshares, but paying for that daily would add up until Arianna could find something else. From what Pierce heard, the bus system was disorganized and a nightmare, and relying on a friend for transportation was unreliable. How was Arianna supposed to get to work and continue to provide for herself?
Legally, Arianna couldn’t file a police report because the car was still in her parents‘ name, and their situation would be deemed “domestic.” Pierce noticed that Arianna was furiously typing away on her phone. Her eyes ballooned out of her head, and he was suddenly afraid to ask what had happened.
“Oh, hell no! These assholes got me all the way fucked up!” she screeched.
“What’s going on?” Pierce cautiously asked.
Arianna stormed towards Pierce and shoved her phone towards him. Pierce’s eyes bugged out of his head when he saw her car listed for sale on Facebook for $7,500.00. Her parents didn’t waste any time, and from the comments under the post, they were looking to unload it quickly. There were comments from users asking why the vehicle was so cheap and if there were any issues with the car. The user was assured the vehicle was in mint condition and ran well. Arianna had obviously been taking care of the maintenance on schedule. The selling price was an absolute steal, and Pierce wouldn’t be surprised if someone came and snatched it up before noon.
“Ari, I’m not going to tell you to calm down because you have every right to be upset; however, I need you to focus so that we can figure out your next ‘steps.”
Arianna let out a frustrated sigh, trying to pull herself together. She didn’t want to scare Pierce, but unfortunately…she was about to have a moment. Arianna licked her lips and nodded her head once she determined what had to be done.
“There’s not much to do. I don’t have any options. All I really want to do now is speak to them and ask them why. Maybe work out some sort of arrangement.”
“That’s very noble of you, Ari. It’s more than would do.”
“What can I say? How about I order us a car, we head back to your place, and then we have a chat with my parents?”

Chapter 22
“Do you think I should be there?”
“I would like you there for support, but I would understand if you’d rather not,” she pouted.
“No, no. If you say that you need me, then I’ll be there for you,” Pierce said.
The car arrived five minutes later and dropped them off at Pierce’s home. “May I raid your pantry and fridge?” Arianna asked.
“You’re hungry? We just ate.”
“I stress eat,” Arianna explained.
“Help yourself. I’ll be down shortly,” Patrick expressed. He could feel the anger rolling off of Arianna in waves, and all he wanted to do was make it all
better.
Arianna rummaged through the fruit bowl on Pierce’s marble counter and selected a perfectly ripe plum. She took a bite out of it and moaned. It was the juiciest and sweetest plum she had ever had. “That good, huh?”
“Yep. You wanna come over here and have a taste?” Arianna offered. Pierce knew it was a bad idea, but he was absolutely powerless when it came to his little firecracker. “Make haste, Pierce. We don’t have all day,” Arianna reminded him.
It only took three seconds for Pierce to be in front of Arianna, tasting the sweetness of the plum on her tongue. Arianna dropped the plum she held in her hand on the floor and climbed up Pierce’s body with his assistance. As he led them upstairs, her nimble fingers began unbuttoning Pierce’s dress shirt. Arianna giggled when she managed to wrangle his shirt off and threw it over the banister railing, allowing it to flutter to the ground. Arianna’s lips made contact with Pierce’s throat, causing him to groan loudly.
“I really wish you wouldn’t have started something that you couldn’t finish,” Pierce chastised, throwing Arianna on the bed.
“I didn’t tell you to kiss me. You did that all on your own. Let me taste you, Pierce.”
“As wonderful as that sounds, Ari, we have places to be, remember?”
Arianna dramatically sighed, fell back on the bed, and waited for Pierce to get ready. She pulled out her phone and stared at the Facebook post that was garnering more and more attention. The sweet taste of the plum couldn’t mask the taste of disgust she felt towards her parents. She paid the majority of the car note, and she’d be damned if someone else would benefit from it.
