Yvonne’s workshop in the villa was finally ready.
That evening, the first guest arrived right on time. A Rolls–Royce was parked in front of her house.
Samuel seemed like he’d just come from some kind of social event. He was dressed in a formal black suit, with a silver brooch pinned to his chest. His hair was styled into a slick back, and his face carried an air of aloofness.
However, his gaze and smile were warm.
“Ms. Jamison, it’s my first time visiting your workshop, so I brought a little gift.”
Asher Melton, the Hover family’s driver, stepped out of a truck parked behind the Rolls–Royce and began unloading several pots of blooming hydrangeas.
“I saw the photos of your workshop that day, and the yard hadn’t been planted with flowers yet. I thought these would be a nice touch, and hopefully, they’ll brighten your day while you work.”
Yvonne was momentarily taken aback before she smiled. “These hydrangeas are gorgeous. What a unique gift. Thank you.”
Asher moved the flowers into the villa’s backyard. Samuel had even brought his family’s gardener to plant them, which was incredibly thoughtful of him. Yvonne led Samuel through the workshop, where the table was cluttered with her sculpting practice pieces.
“Have you started preparing the next piece, Ms. Jamison?”
Samuel picked up a stone carving of a flying bird and gently ran his finger along its surface. He nodded in approval and said, “It seems like my early reservation was a good call.”

‘As a relatively unknown designer like myself, having my second piece collected by the Hover family is truly a stroke of luck.”
Yvonne smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude. Aside from Jean, Samuel was one of the few who truly believed in her abilities. “What kind of piece do you want, Mr. Hover?”
“It’s for my grandfather’s 80th birthday in October. I want to give him something special.” As Samuel said that, he pulled up an image on his phone–a painting by a renowned artist. “He loves pine trees. Do you think this painting could be made into an emerald sculpture?”
Yvonne examined the painting, analyzing the lush, sturdy pine trees with a professional eye before answering, “Turning this into an emerald sculpture would be a massive undertaking.
“I’d need a large piece of emerald. No mistakes can be made during the carving process for the pine trees, or the emerald will be destroyed.”
She was serious, clearly feeling the weight of the challenge.
“Are you testing me, Mr. Hover?”
“I’ll make sure to provide the emerald.” Samuel looked at her gently and continued firmly, “I trust your abilities, Ms. Jamison. I know you can do this.”
Yvonne took a deep breath, her nerves apparent.

She stared at the painting, mentally forming an idea of how to approach the work. Then, she said cautiously, “Making this emerald sculpture will certainly be a challenge, but since you believe in me, I won’t let you down.”
“If you’re willing to take on the task, then I’m looking forward to seeing what you’ll create.” Samuel smiled warmly.
Yvonne knew how difficult the path of a designer was. There had been times when she’d considered quitting, but now she was ready to seize every opportunity that came her way.
“I’ll make sure to give this project my best effort.”
She glanced at the stone carving of the bird Samuel had been holding. “Do you like this piece, Mr. Hover? It’s yours.”
“I’ll gladly accept it.”
Samuel really did like this kind of lifelike carving.
Just then, the gardener finished planting the hydrangeas in the yard. From the large windows of the workshop, the colorful blooms outside were a beautiful sight.
“Thank you for the flowers, Mr. Hover. I really love them.”
“It’s my pleasure.”
As dusk fell, Samuel glanced at the time and stood up. “It’s getting late. I won’t keep you any longer.”
“Okay. Once I finish the design sketches, I’ll send them to you.”
“Feel free to contact me anytime.”
After seeing Samuel off, Yvonne tidied up a bit and then went outside to take out the trash. But when she stepped out, she noticed the Rolls–Royce still parked out

front.
Confused, she walked over and knocked gently on the back window. The window lowered, revealing Samuel, who was lounging in the back seat. His brow was furrowed in discomfort.
“Mr. Hover, are you feeling unwell?”
