Marriage Contract 6

“Just now Ethan tried to force a kiss on me, I didn’t agree and pushed him away immediately!”

Noah’s sharp features were even more knife-like when he wasn’t smiling. Combined with his towering height of nearly 6’3″, he looked terrifyingly fierce.

My previously clear speech became somewhat stuttered:

“I asked to meet you this afternoon because I wanted to tell you that last night was consensual. It was my first kiss, I didn’t know how to breathe properly. I pushed at you because you were holding me too tightly and I couldn’t breathe, not because I was disgusted.”

After saying all that in one breath, I gathered my courage to look up and meet Noah’s eyes.

His nearly black eyes slowly returned to their normal color.

Pop-up comment:

“Great, a direct confession! We might be saved!”

“Is what the villainess saying true, or is she just trying to make the male lead jealous?”

“Is the commenter above joking? Is that loser male lead worthy? The author thinks they created an irresistible playboy, but he’s just a creepy sleazeball who’s perfect for the airheaded female lead. As

ong as the villainess isn’t blind, she’ll definitely choose the second male lead (though she was a bit lind for the first three years).”

“Lily Chen.”

Ethan had also come out of the coffee shop. Seeing Noah and me standing side by side, he said:

“You’re in your twenties now, why are you still using such childish tricks? Do you think this will make ne jealous?”

I slid my hand down Noah’s sleeve and intertwined our fingers:

“Ethan, I don’t like you anymore. I’m married, I have a husband. Please don’t harass me again.”

“What if I said Tina and I broke up, and I’m single now?” Ethan looked at me carelessly, with a smug

xpression.

I wanted to step forward, but felt resistance.

I realized Noah was standing still, tightly gripping my hand, his fingertips trembling slightly.

He was anxious,

“I don’t give a damn if you two broke up,” I said impatiently. “Even if you told me you like men now, it as nothing to do with me. Don’t block the way, get lost.”

When I was younger and first falling in love, I did have feelings for my childhood friend Ethan.

But later, he repeatedly took Tina’s side, kicked me when I was down, and watched coldly from the

sidelines.

What little affection I had left had long since dissipated, leaving only annoyance.

The smile froze on Ethan’s face.

I glanced at my phone and saw dozens of missed calls.

The candlelit dinner I had planned was already half an hour late.

It was probably ruined now.

“Noah, let’s go home.”

“Okay.”

Noah’s limited edition Rolls-Royce was parked just across the street.

I didn’t look back at Ethan even once as I got into the passenger seat.

Pop-up comment:

“The villainess is so cool, I love her! Now I really believe Lily Chen doesn’t like the male lead

anymore.”

“The loser male lead’s character is just disgusting. On one hand he’s on-again off-again with the female lead, on the other hand he’s still lusting after the villainess’s otherworldly beauty and getting

handsy. Our Queen Lily won’t put up with his bullshit.”
