Chapter 5
Liam looked like he’d seen a ghost.
His face went pale–green, lips trembling–he opened his mouth but couldn’t get a single word out.
I gave him a long, slow once–over.
He hadn’t even had time to put on proper clothes-
Just standing there in his boxers, covered in lipstick stains, with fresh scratch marks trailing down his back.
Seven years.
Seven years together, and I knew every inch of this man.
Based on the loud–ass performance we’d heard earlier, I gotta say….
Whoever she was, she should win an Oscar.
The screaming she did over a couple weak–ass thrusts?
Please.
Liam caught me glancing down and saw the disgust on my face.
That made him look even more pathetic.
I didn’t say a word.
Just pushed past him and started walking toward the room.
He instinctively tried to stop me–raised a hand, but before he even touched me, three of my cousins tackled him to the ground.
“Jacob! Jacob, I messed up, okay?!” Liam begged.
“Can you let me go? At least close the damn door!”
By then, people in the hallway had started peeking out of their rooms.
Curious, sleepy, very entertained strangers.
Liam still had the nerve to care about privacy.
Jacob just scoffed.
“Don’t call me that. I’m not your brother.”
One of the others chimed in.
“Bro, you had sex with another girl the night before your wedding–now you care what people think?”

Chapter 5
Everyone jumped in, loud enough to make sure the entire damn floor heard every word.
Liam covered his face with both hands, curling up like he wanted to disappear.
Inside the room-
The clothes on the floor, the wrecked bed, the sweaty, sour smell–every single thing in there confirmed what he’d done.
And her?
She was curled up under the blanket,
Wearing nothing but a bra and underwear.
“I think you’re misunderstanding something,” she said quickly.
“I’m actually his girlfriend…”
Then she looked up and locked eyes with me.
And froze.
My face broke into a cold smile.
I knew exactly who she was.
The girl Liam always swore was “just a friend.”
His bro, his homie, his ride or die.
And here she was, naked in his bed the night before our wedding.
