Britney turned around and replied coldly, “Then please send the two of them up to the sky to be shoulder to shoulder with the sun! It’s quiet there, he can stay with whoever he wants, and they can turn to ashes together and be together forever.”
Edward had never seen such a sharp Britney before, and he had no way to talk back.

Hearing the name, Bianca instinctively looked over at Rodrick, who was half–lying down with his eyes closed, resting.
He didn’t really react, not sure if he was asleep or not.
Bianca asked Edward, “What did she say that made you this mad?”
Edward sure didn’t repeat the exact words, since it was the first time he got shut down by Britney.
But I just couldn’t swallow my pride.
“It’s nothing,” he said, “she’s always mean when she talks, but she
shouldn’t think she’ll get away with
either.” Edward thought of what
he’d just found out and started feeling smug again.
“I just found out, Britney came to see Eamon, that Mr. Colton from Nexus Capital. Bianca, you’ve met him, the same Mr. Colton who tried to hit on you last time without knowing who you were.”
“I remembered him, he didn’t have a good reputation, even Britney knew what kind of person that Mr. Colton was, and still went to see him?”
