Chapter 604
Natalie! Are you crazy?” Theo shouted:
“Crazy?” Natalie sneered. “Honestly, these days, that almost feels like a compliment.”
So what if she was crazy? At least now, she had a crowd of people fling with her.

If she had stayed sane, all she would have left was a mother who kept abandoning her and a life that would have collapsed the second things went south.
If she was going to go down, she might as well go completely crazy She would make every last person wito had looked down on her or humiliated her pay the price.
“You both love her, right? Then prove it. Stab yourselves for her. Let me see just how deep that love runs!”
Natalie’s eyes gleamed with twisted delight. Watching Gregory and Anathea dance on the strings she pulled–this was what real satisfaction felt like.
Theo gritted his teeth and reached for the knife on the ground, but Gregory grabbed his wrist.
“What are you doing?” Theo snapped. “Don’t you see that lunatic’s about to kill Anathea?”
“Calm down,” Gregory said, frowning. “Don’t you trust her?”
“What do you mean?” Theo blinked in confusion.
The next second, a gunshot rang out with a sharp, echoing bang.
Michael screamed in agony while staring at Anathea like he had seen a ghost. She had pulled a pistol from beneath her skirt and shot him straight in the leg.
Natalie gasped, hands flying to her mouth as she watched Michael collapse and groan in pain. She instinctively turned to run. But by the time she moved, Anathea already had the gun aimed right at her.
With one brow arched, Anathea asked, “Where do you think you’re going?”
In that instant, Natalie swore she could hear her heart skip a beat. Fear and rage tangled in her chest as she slowly raised her hands in surrender.
Anathea glanced down at Gregory. He was looking up at her too. His gaze was full of pride and affection.
Theo stared at the two of them and suddenly realized that he really didn’t stand a chance now. Strangely, it didn’t hurt as much as he thought it would.
Once Natalie was secured, Anathea came down the stairs. Gregory was already there, waiting at the bottom.
“You two…” Theo hadn’t fully processed what was going on between Anathea and Gregory.
Anathea shot Gregory a smile. “Not bad. You used your voice this time. That deserves a little praise.”
Earlier in the morning, she had quietly told him to go, and the door slowly closed.
But just two seconds later, Gregory turned right back around. He walked up to Anathea and looked at her v ‘nwavering
seriousness.
“I’m not telling you because I don’t want to drag you into danger. But deep down, I know you’re not someone who needs protecting. You’re strong enough to stand on your own.”
Meeting his earnest gaze, Anathea smiled. “Mr. Sinclair, glad to see you’re finally coming to your senses.”

It turned out that Gregory’s faith in her hadn’t been misplaced. In fact, it had brought results no one expected.
They exchanged a look, and Gregory’s smile deepened, though it quickly faded as his expression turned serious. “Still, using yourself as bait to draw Michael out was way too risky.”
“Alright, I won’t do it again next time.” Anathea hugged his arm and leaned against his shoulder.
“There won’t be a next time.” Gregory held her hand tightly. “I swear.”
From now on, he would never let her walk into danger again. After all, everything would end in his hands!
He gently covered her ears.
“What’s wrong?” Anathea asked.
The next second, a deafening boom shook the once dark and stifling private chapel. It was instantly blown apart. Ornate beams and carved pillars collapsed in an instant.
Roof tiles and brick walls crumbled into rubble, vanishing beneath a thick cloud of smoke and dust. Golden sunlight streamed through the wreckage. Overhead, a flock of wild geese soared across the sky.
It was over. All of it.
“My fireworks,” Gregory said with a smile. “Isn’t it beautiful?”
Anathea gave a small nod. “As long as it’s from you, it’s always beautiful.”
“But I’m kind of hungry now. Can we eat?” she added, blinking up at him.
Gregory took her hand and replied gently, “Let’s go home. I’ll make you whatever you want.”
“Okay.” Anathea beamed.
Before leaving, Anathea glanced back at Theo. “You saw all of that? It’s time for you to go find your own happiness too.”
Theo paused, then finally let out a long breath. He said sincerely,
“Thanks,” Gregory said, giving Theo a firm pat on the shoulder.
wish you both the best.”
But Theo still looked unwilling to give up. “If you ever treat her badly, I swear I’ll steal her right out from under your nose.”
“Don’t bother trying,” Gregory replied firmly. “You won’t get the chance.”
From now on, he would hold Anathea’s hand tight, for better or worse, every day and every night.
