Hearing those worth, Wyatt Instinctively looked toward Lainey, only to see her fists clenched on tightly that her whold body was trembling
Theodore’s recent behavior had genuinely unsettled her. He had never joined them for dinner before.
Lainey clearly remembered that in the past, Theodore always at first. Only after he finished were they allowed to sit at the fable.
He once said that rating with them was worse than dining with the homeless. She’d been so furious that she hugged her three children and cried the whole night.
“Theodore!” Barbara snapped out of her dare and stood up. “Don’t just stand there, Wyatt. Get Theodore his fableware,
Wyatt ducked his head slightly and asked Lainey, “Madam?”
Lainey inhaled deeply before forcing the words out. “Go get it.”
Meanwhile, Eliana had already pulled out a chair for Theodore. After guiding him into the seat, she took the spot beside him.
Before long. Wyatt brought over some new tableware. Eliana personally arranged everything for Theodore and I then began describing the dishes. She then added, “Since you can’t see, just tell me what you’d like to eat fl help you with it.”
Barbara scoffed at this inwardly, Theodore hates it when people bring up his blindness. Just wait, Eliana’s about to get chewed out
To her shock, Theodore only replied, “Alright.”
It was as if someone had slapped Barbara across the face. She sat frozen in disbelief.
Anthony, his hands clasped under his chin, smiled as he looked at Eliana. “You’ve got a gh, Eliana. I can’t believe you actually got Theodore to come downstairs for dinner. I’m more impressed by you.”
Eliana replied with a smile, “Not at all it was entirely his decision.”
Theodoro, displeased by the exchange unfolding before him, interjected, “Eliana, I’d like some shrimp,”
“Let me peel it for you,” she said at once, now too preoccupied to continue the conversation with Anthony.
Anthony narrowed his eyes, reaching for a shrimp and beginning to peel it as well.
By the time Eliana peeled several for Theodore, she noticed a peeled shrimp appeared on her own plate too.
Her gaze followed the hand it came from. Anthony was holding a finger to his lips, silently gesturing for her not to say anything
Theodore witnessed the entire exchange, and a sharp chill settled in his heart. He thought in frustration, ‘He peeled shrimp for Eliana right in front of me? Does he think I’m invisible?”
Meanwhile, Eliana felt nothing but awkwardness. She didn’t need Anthony to peel shrimp for her at all.
Just as she was about to return the piece to Anthony’s plate, Theodore suddenly said, “Eliana, where’s the shrimp? Feed me.”
t, not like this.
Without thinking, Eliana brought the shrimp to his lips. It didn’t occur to her that Theodore had never asked to be fed before at least,
A second later, he bit down right on her fingertip. She flinched slightly, the sting catching her off guard.
But Theodore simply chewed the shrimp, calm and unbothered, as though that little nip had been nothing but an accident.
After wiping her fingertip, Eliana picked up the shrimp Anthony had given her and returned it to his plate.
Chapter 51
Anthony blinked in surprise, his face dimming slightly as he looked at her, a little stunned.
Eliana knew it might embarrass Anthony, but she didn’t feel their relationship had reached a level where that kind of gesture was appropriate.
Watching it all, Theodore had a subtle smile. Even the shrimp in his mouth tasted saeter now.
After dinner, Eliana led Theodore into the courtyard for a walk as usual. But just as they stepped outside, her phone buzzed in her pocket.
Glancing at the caller ID, her relaxed expression stiffened immediately. She said, “Hey, would you wait here a moment? I need to take this cat?
