Chapter 3
As soon as my parents arrived, they saw Titus and me surrounded by a crowd.
They knew something had definitely happened.
My mom worriedly pulled me into her arms, but the moment she touched me, I started trembling all over.
Someone told my parents what had just happened.
My dad raised his hand to slap Titus across the face, but before he could strike, Titus held up the prenatal test report.
“Dad, don’t look!” I tried to rush forward and grab the report, but my dad had already taken it and was reading it.
In an instant, he froze.
“Dad?” I called out tentatively.
My dad looked at me, his eyes bloodshot.
Without hesitation, he slapped me across the face. “Selena! Cheng An telling you to get an abortion is for your own good!”
I broke down, but still defended myself: “But the attending doctor said my baby is perfectly healthy!”

“I’m also an obstetrician, and you still dare to talk back!” My dad roared, about to hit my belly.
My mom quickly rushed over to shield me, shouting angrily: “Are you insane? She’s pregnant!”
But instead of getting angry, my dad sneered coldly: “You feel sorry for her, but this slut doesn’t deserve to be our daughter!”
Everyone around was shocked, criticizing my dad for how a father could say such things about his own daughter.
My mom was furious, but she knew my dad was usually gentle, so there must be something wrong with the prenatal report.
“Give me the prenatal report!” she demanded.
I quickly stepped forward to stop my mom, looking at her with pleading eyes. “Mom, the attending doctor said the baby is healthy. Please don’t look, okay? If you don’t believe it, you can go ask that doctor.”
I knew that once my mom saw the report, she would immediately force me to have an abortion.
My mom held me, comforting me: “Don’t worry, your dad and Titus must have made a mistake. I used to be the head of
obstetrics and gynecology, trust me.”
I shook my head desperately. “No, Mom, please don’t look. I

trust you, but please don’t look.”
But the more I tried to stop her, the more curious my mom became about what was wrong with the report.

Seeing that my mom insisted on looking, I held onto her tightly. “Mom, once you see this report, you’ll instantly stop loving me just like the two of them.”
She looked at me gently and said: “No, Selena, I used to be a 00, I’ve seen many reports. And even if the baby isn’t I’ll still stand by your side and protect you. You’re the erson I love most in this world.”
I ultimately couldn’t stop my mom.
The moment she saw the prenatal report, her gentle expression vanished instantly, a flash of cruelty appearing in her eyes, frightening me so much that I trembled all over.
My mom’s face turned pale, looking at me with a bitter smile.
She wasn’t as agitated as my dad and Titus, which made her even more terrifying.
She said coldly: “It’s okay, Selena, this baby is fine. Get up, let’s go home.”
Despite saying this, her hand reaching toward me was trembling non–stop. She was suppressing her emotions.

“No, I don’t want to go home.” I quickly stood up and backed into the crowd.
My mom frowned, looking at me with cold eyes. “Selena, what are you doing? You’re pregnant, what if something happens to you out here?”
Seeing my parents and Titus about to come grab me, I quickly grabbed two passersby’s clothes and begged them: “Please save me, I can’t go back with them, they’ll abort my baby.”
The passersby hesitated.
Although I was a pregnant woman, I was clearly emotionally unstable, and they were my family members, so they couldn’t
intervene.
Fortunately, someone stood up to speak for me.
“She’s a pregnant woman, she’s emotionally unstable right now, you shouldn’t force her like this.”
“Yeah, what if it hurts her baby?”
But my parents and Titus acted as if they couldn’t hear, approaching me with menacing expressions.
“Selena, do you have delusions? Come home with us quickly, stop disrupting the hospital’s order!” My parents forcibly

grabbed me.

A kind person blocked their way: “We’re in a hospital right now, she’s pregnant, she’s been traumatized, we should have a doctor check if it will affect the fetus.”
“We’re both obstetricians, does she still need to see a doctor?” My dad roared at the person.
The kind person hesitated, and Titus took the opportunity to pull me out of the crowd, dragging me without any mercy.
No matter how kind the onlookers were, they didn’t dare fight my family members for me.
Just then, a pair of hands blocked Titus’s path.
“Who gave you permission to drag a pregnant woman like that!” a police officer sternly shouted, and only then did Titus let go.
My parents said: “This pregnant woman is our daughter, she has some mental problems, we’re taking her home first.”
The police officer looked at me suspiciously, and I quickly denied: “No, they want to kill the healthy baby in my belly!”
The three people behind me froze in place, but their faces showed triumphant smiles.
I continued: “If you don’t believe me, you can check the

hospital’s surveillance footage. They all really want to kill my baby.”
The police had the hospital staff pull up the surveillance footage.
After watching the footage, a female officer protected me and questioned them: “Why do you want to abort this healthy baby?”
My parents scoffed, while Titus looked at me coldly.
“Forcing a pregnant woman to have an abortion is illegal!”
Titus still didn’t care. I grabbed the police officer’s hand. “Let me see my prenatal report.”
Each of them had suddenly changed their attitude after seeing the prenatal report. There must be the truth in there.
At the police’s request, Titus reluctantly handed over the prenatal report.
When I saw the prenatal report again, I finally understood why they didn’t want this baby.
