The screen only showed the caller’s name as Bruke, so when Stanley answered, he wasn’t sure whether to address the person as “Mr.” or “Ms.” He simply waited for the caller to speak first.
Then he heard a sweet–sounding female voice say “Mr. Russell” on the phone. Stanley was shocked to realize the caller was a young girl, but he had no idea when Theodore had a lady named Bruke around him.
“Hello, Ms. Burke. I’m Mr. Russell’s secretary, Stanley Stills. He’s not available to answer the phone right now. What can I do for you?” Stanley said.
Hearing this, Eliana, who was in the police station, hesitated.
Today was Theodore’s first time back at Russell Group in two years. He must be very busy now and probably had no energy to take care of her business, otherwise, he wouldn’t have asked Stanley to answer the phone.
Stanley waited for a long time but didn’t get a reply, so he couldn’t help repeating what he said.

“Thank you. Goodbye.” After ending the call, Eliana stared at the detention room in front of her and slowly leaned against the mottled wall.
When Stanley returned to the meeting room of Russell Group, Theodore had already started giving a speech, so he had to put off telling him about
Eliana.
When the meeting was halfway through and Theodore took a breath, Stanley leaned over to his ear and said, “Mr. Russell, there was a Ms. Bruke calling you just now.”
Hearing this, Theodore was delighted. It seemed to be the first time Eliana had called him. He wondered if it was because he wasn’t at home today that she felt unaccustomed.
So his voice was filled with joy. “What did she say?”
In Stanley’s view, Theodore rarely showed his emotions. He didn’t expect that after two years of Silence, he would become so lively. Stanley couldn’t help but be more curious and respectful of that lady.
He said, “Ms. Burke said she is now at the South Branch of the Municipal Police Station. If you have time, please call her back.”
After hearing this, the joy in Theodore’s eyes quickly disappeared, and his eyes became sharp and fierce. “Why didn’t you tell me such an important thing until now?” Then, Theodore grabbed the phone from the long table and turned to walk outside.
Stanley looked like he was about to cry. If he had known Theodore cared so much about Eliana, he would have reported her matter first.
Meanwhile, after Theodore got through to Eliana’s phone, he asked urgently, “What happened?”
She said, “Mr. Russell, I hit someone. Can you come to the police station to bail me out?”
Eliana’s voice sounded a bit pitiful at this time, and Theodore’s heart couldn’t help but ache. “Are you hurt?”
“No, I’m fine,” Eliana said.
