Chapter 10 Lose His Head
Reece’s voice was so oppressive that Julissa felt totally overwhelmed.
He raised his arm and ripped off her cap.
“You just can’t bear to see ‘Eternity‘ being surpassed?”
Reece’s ironic voice utterly infuriated Julissa.
“I’m just here to see the thieves‘ ugly faces!”
Reece was slightly stunned to hear that. He fixed his eyes on Julissa and got closer to her. “What do you mean?”
“Caroline has passed away. You leverage her design and celebrity status to generate buzz for the new product. Isn’t that enough to show you’re thieves?”
Reece frowned. A glint of surprise flashed across his eyes, but it was quickly replaced by certainty and composure.
“It was designed by Cristina.”
Reece hedged and continued, “Caroline has passed away indeed, but she’s Mr. Barrett’s friend. This time, we bor- rowed her fame because it was Mr. Barrett’s wish. Back then, Caroline left too suddenly. Putting her name on it is kind of a way to honor her.”
Mr. Barrett’s wish?
Julissa realized that the design was offered by Melvin.
“Mom did hang with the wrong friend,” she thought.
Reece didn’t understand why he was explaining this matter to Julissa.
Faced with her resentful eyes, he still said, “You must accept the fact that ‘Eternity‘ is already past.”
Julissa sneered, “You think I came here to mess around out of hatred because ‘Eternity‘ has been surpassed?”
“Why else could it be?”
Reece was just as conceited as usual.
“Listen up.” Julissa adjusted her coat. “My biggest regret is taking that photo and getting involved with the Diazs!”
Then, she just left without looking back.
Reece wanted to say something more but it was too late.
He thought Julissa still wanted to pester him but she didn’t seem so.

While he was irritable, Cristina had come out.
The press conference was over. She couldn’t find Reece in there, so she got out.
“Reece, what happened?”

Reece withdrew his gaze and said softly, “It’s OK.” He stared at Cristina and asked with a complicated look, “Did you really design ‘Harvest‘ on your own?”
Cristina was stunned and held back her diffidence quickly. She replied sadly, “You don’t trust me?”
“Yes, I do.” Reece hastened to hold Cristina in his arms. “I lost my head.”
Julissa took a taxi and took out a recorder from her bag.
Just now, she deliberately pissed off Reece, trying to get information from him. But Reece was too scheming to fall for that.
Yet, at least, he pointed out one thing. That was, Caroline was dead.
a
No matter what, the glory would fade away one day. Revealing the truth of Caroline’s death might finally grant her
peace.
Julissa closed her eyes. She had made a decision after leaving the venue of the press conference.
She didn’t compete for anything, but now as it appeared, she’d only be trampled unless she fought back.
Without an acknowledged identity, she couldn’t even have the right to disclose the truth, just as what happened previ- ously.
People all said money controlled the world, but she didn’t buy that shit.
That night, she sorted out all the evidence and posted it online.
Julissa assumed that Melvin only had the photo of Caroline’s design because the original manuscript was in Julissa’s
hands.
The manuscript had Caroline’s signature and the date. Julissa also posted Reece’s recording.
As soon as the post was made, the internet exploded.
“Cristina is a plagiarist?”
- “I can’t believe she’s stolen a deceased master’s work!”
“Is the manuscript fake?”
“Impossible. Caroline’s signature was specially designed by herself. Both the writing style or the stroke can’t be easily imitated.”
“Oh my! I can’t believe I’ve admired Cristina for years!”

“Turns out the Diaz Group is holding the candle to the evil!”

For the moment, negative news was all over the internet. “Harvest“, the project meant to elevate the Diaz Group to new heights, instead became the hammer that shattered them into the abyss.
Julissa had a nice sleep. When she woke up, she saw the message from Zayne.
“The woman I like indeed.”
Julissa felt a bit uneasy to see that message.
She just wanted to return peace to Caroline and clarify the name for “Harvest“, but now as it appeared, what she did just fit in with Zayne’s wish.
The Diaz Group was affected while the Fowlers reaped the most benefits.
In the CEO’s office on the top floor of the Diaz Building.”

Reece looked grim. James was sorting out the materials for public relations. His phone accidentally played Reece’s recording that said, “Caroline has passed away indeed.”
“Do you wanna die?” Reece said coldly with a gloomy face.
James was so scared that his phone dropped to the ground.
“That woman has learned to record my words? I’ve underestimated her,” Reece thought as his eyes gleamed with coldness.
“Reece…” Cristina stood aside, as frightened as a startled cat. She felt her feet hurt to the core, but Reece didn’t show
any concern.
Sorrow consumed her but she still worked up the nerve to say, “Sorry, Reece. I was too desperate to help the Diaz Group. When we were on Emerald Street, Julissa and Zayne pulled off a trick, causing the Diaz Group to lose that stone. I was so anxious that I made the mistake. It was all my fault.
“Besides, when Mr. Barrett handed over the manuscript to me, he did mention he wanted to help Ms. Sherman publi- cize it. That’s why I… I just wanted to fulfill my master’s wish…”
Julissa and Zayne…
Cristina had said so much, but only these two names caused Reece’s attention, which made his eyes turn colder.
“That woman has turned to the Fowlers right after she got a divorce…” he thought.
“Reece.” Cristina sprained her ankle and fell to the ground.
Reece hastened to help her up.
With a sigh, he said, “I know, you’re doing this for my family.”
Touching Reece’s arms, Cristina felt relieved, her eyes glistening. “Reece, you don’t blame me, do you?”

“Hmm,” Reece replied firmly, which eased Cristina’s panic.

“Reece, can you help…” Cristina said. Tears welled up in her eyes. “Talk to Ms. Rivera, asking her to remove the post and claiming that it was a mistake. If I’m convicted of plagiarism, I can’t have a footing in the jewelry industry any-
more.”
It took her so much effort to become what she was today. She wouldn’t let Julissa ruin it!
Reece’s eyes darkened. He subconsciously loosened his grip on Cristina’s arm.
“You actually think so?”
