Chapter 21 Trusting Cristina
“He wants you to have nothing left so that you’ll obediently do as he says,” said Reece.
The Fowler family had always been despicable. Zayne’s father was like that, and Zayne was no different.
Julissa didn’t know about the Fowler family’s past. To her, Reece’s words just sounded delusional.
“I already have nothing,” Julissa coldly reminded him. “Besides, this new product launch is closely tied to the Fowler family’s interests. I’d like to ask you. Is Zayne out of his mind for doing something so self–destructive?”
“Sacrificing a new product for a designer who will be permanently loyal and obedient is not a bad deal for the Fowler family,” Reece replied.
Julissa was tired of this kind of conversation.
Communicating with Reece was like castingpearlsbeforeswine.

“Fine, I’ll take my lumps,” Julissa said, shrugging her shoulders with an air of resignation. “Do you have anything else to say? If not, I’m off.”
“Julissa!”
Reece finally lost his patience. He stood up from his chair, his tall frame blocking most of the sunlight behind him. “After all this, you still want to go back?”
“What else can I do?” Julissa said, completely resigned. “Where else can I go? You just said I had nothing left.”
Reece paused for a moment.
“You can go back to Harmony Villa for now.”
Julissa was stunned.
She had never thought Reece would suggest she go back.
But her instinctive wariness made it impossible for her to trust that Reece could be so kind.
Letting her go back was probably just to make it easier for him to mock her.
“The despicable and shameless other woman goes back to Harmony Villa? Do you think I haven’t been humiliated enough?”
These words from Julissa made Reece feel bad.
He looked at her, her eyes pretending to be sharp but clearly hiding tears.
She was stubborn and full of resentment.

“Mr. Diaz, I know you’re powerful, with great influence in Archdale, and you can watch whatever farce you want. But I’m not naive enough to question someone who once trusted me and helped me just because of your ridiculous analysis.”
Reece thought, “Trust? Help?”
He sneered at that.
“Ridiculous analysis? Julissa, I never realized you could be so stupid before.”
Julissa thought, “I was indeed stupid. If not, I wouldn’t have been so devoted to Reece for all these years!”
“Cristina saw with her own eyes that the person who ran out of the Archdale Notary Office got into Zayne’s car! The evidence is undeniable. Do you still want to defend him?”
Julissa thought, “Cristina. It’s her again.”
“Whatever she says, you believe it, right?”
Reece’s gaze was resolute.
“It’s the truth.”
“Truth?” Julissa took a deep breath. “Cristina said she saw it with her own eyes, but let me tell you. It was me who asked Zayne to find that person. Zayne followed him all the way to the entrance of Cristina’s villa.”
Julissa was so emotional that her chest heaved after she said all that, struggling to calm down.
Reece didn’t speak, just quietly looking at her.
He had been dealing with the Fowler family for years and knew their cunning and methods. They had been standing strong in the jewelry industry for years, and they were definitely not to be underestimated.
Reece thought, “Julissa is inexperienced, so it’s understandable that she was deceived by their facade.
“But with the facts laid out in front of her, she still refused to accept it. She’s just stupid.”
The room fell silent for a moment until Reece said in a ruthless voice, “Cristina wouldn’t lie.”
This sentence completely extinguished all the emotions in Julissa’s heart.
She felt like a ridiculous buffoon and a fool who had come bouncing over and handed him a knife, only to watch him
stab it into her own chest.
At this point, she just wanted to leave.
“Julissa, if you go back to Zayne, you will definitely regret it.”
Julissa thought, “Whatever,”
Now, no matter what Reece said, she found it disgusting.

However, a piece of news shot to the top of the trending list, “Cristina’s first livestream, the new product preview of Diaz Jewelry!”
Cristina’s livestream naturally attracted a lot of attention, and with the recent rumors being discussed, it quickly topped the trending list as soon as it started.
On the livestream, Cristina was lightly made up, sitting gracefully on the balcony. She was poised and elegant, lower- ing her head to perfect her design drawings while occasionally looking up to greet the netizens.
Although some haters came to call her a plagiarist, the administrators kicked them out as quickly as possible.
The livestream channel was harmonious, and Cristina introduced her new product design concept. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw someone ask, “Is it true that Reece is getting a divorce?”
Cristina’s eyes instantly reddened.

She pretended to dodge the camera and cried, covering her face beside it, but “accidentally” let out half a shoulder, slightly trembling, which any perceptive person could see.
“Cristina is crying.”
“She must have been reminded of something sad.”
“Cristina, don’t cry. We’ll protect you.”
The screen was filled with comforting comments for Cristina. She reappeared in the lens, her eyes red.
“Thank you all. I’m fine.”
“It’s all that bitch Julissa’s fault. She made Cristina so distressed!”
Cristina’s naturally delicate appearance, with her tearful look, stirred up even more sympathy from many netizens.
Even casual fans who had just watched the livestream for a few seconds turned into Julissa’s haters.
“Don’t curse her. Although she did something wrong to me, she has got what she deserves.”
While pretending to defend Julissa and establishing an image of being magnanimous and kind, Cristina also con- firmed that Julissa was the other woman.
“She’s so despicable, and you’re still speaking for her. You shouldn’t be so kind!”
“A person like her would be hung in ancient times.”
The more pitiful Cristina looked, the more vicious the curses became.
“It’s all my fault. If I had accepted Reece’s marriage proposal in the first place and hadn’t insisted on going abroad, none of this would have happened.”
Every word Cristina spoke made the rumors about Julissa on the internet seem like the truth.

With the “victim” speaking out, the originally calm internet exploded with curses again.
The public discussion grew intense. Reece received a message from the PR Department and glanced up, his eyes slightly darkening.
“Mr. Diaz, do we need to interfere?” asked someone.
Reece put down the file in his hand, picked up a phone, and went to the livestream channel.
“No.”
He lightly tapped his fingers and said indifferently, “Get me an account.”
