Third Person’s POVE
The moming sun barely kissed the horizon, casting the world in pale gold, but inside the Thane Pack’s territory, dread hung thicker than any fog. Alpha Maximus lay in his room, silent and still. The deep sleep he’d fallen into after coughing up blood was more than just rest it was a retreat into the shadows of his own failing body. The mate bond between him and Rebecca pulsed quietly, but it was no comfort. Rebecca sat at his bedside, her heart twisting in helpless agony.”

The pack’s wolves growled low, baring teeth, hackles raised. They formed a defensive circle, but the tension was palpable. Without Alpha Maximus to lead, the pack’s movements were disjointed, uncertain.
“Bring me the girl,” the vampire king’s voice hissed, cold as the grave. “She is the key – the cure to the poison that curses my clan. We need her life essence.
The old seer’s eyes locked onto Rebecca, despite her bonds. She lifted a trembling finger, pointing a gnarled hand at the she–wolf standing nearby.

The battle reignited with renewed ferocity. Lucas tore through vampire ranks with brutal precision, claws raking and jaws snapping. But his strength alone was not enough. The vampires were too many, too coordinated!
