Anathea Trowned and replied, “Nowhere!”
she had no idea why Thomas had suddenly acted that way, but she knew there was nothing improper between them.
“Nowhere?” Gregory’s smile remained faint, but his thumb slowly moved downward, brushing past the sharp curve of her jaw before stopping at her eat.
He placed with her earlobe, giving it a teasing squeeze. “How about here?”
Anathea’s body tensed for moment as shel
he bit her lower lip, “I told you. Nowhere!”
“Really?” Gregory’s fingers continued downward, slipping beneath her collar.
“And here?”
Anathea knew he was doing it on purpose, and she refused to answer.
Gregory didn’t care whether she responded or not. His fingers roared at their own pace, pausing deliberately at each spot as he
taunted her, “What about here? Did he touch you here?”
Anathea couldn’t stop her body from trembling
He was like a patient butcher who meticulously marked the places where he would cut, torturing her again and again.
Anathea was on the verge of breaking down, her eyes rimmed with red. “Gregory, what the hell do you want?
“I’m inspecting. What belongs to me has never been for anyone else to touch,” he said indifferently.
So, in his eyes, she was just a possession. When he wanted her, he took her without question. When he didn’t, he could toss her aside without hesitation. But he would never let anyone else pick her up, let alone leave another man’s fingerprints on her.
Anathea just felt exhausted. “So, even if I say it a thousand times, you still won’t believe me, right?”
“Lonly believe what I see. Gregory’s voice was cold and emotionless.
He was never going to believe her.
Anathea no longer had the strength to argue
with him
She had wanted to explain, but she saw no point in that now. She simply closed her eyes in silence, refusing to look at him.
Gregory’s eyes darkened at her submissive attitude.
He was about to continue his “inspection” and go even further. He liked seeing her tremble beneath him.
He pressed one hand on her shoulder while the other traced over her pale face. But the moment he felt her skin’s unusual warmth, he stopped.
She really was sick. And now, her fever was flaring up again.
Gregory frowned as he scrutinized her, unreadable emotions flashing in his eyes.
For nearly ten seconds, he remained silent before finally letting her go
Anathea opened her eyes, staring at him in confusion. There was wariness in her expression, as though she were bracing for whatever cruel trick he would pull next.
But she didn’t realize just how enticing she looked at that moment
Her cheeks carried a soft flush, the tip of her nose tinged with red, and her watery eyes were rimmed with a delicate crimson. Even the corners of her eyes held a faint rosy hue, velled in a gentle mist

Bot in the next second, he suddenly turned around and strade into the bathroom without another word.
Anathea stared at his retirating figure in a daze.

A beast was still a beast. Even if it occasionally had a moment of conscience, no matter how upright it appeared on the surface, it was still nothing more than a wolf in sheep’s clothing
