The unfamiliar smell of her surroundings was the first thing that registered in Sibyl’s mind as she gradually regained consciousness. Her thoughts felt as light as feathers, it took her a moment to reconnect with her body. Blinking groggily, she focused on the sight of the bare ceiling above her.
“Where am 17” she softly murmured, her voice barely audible as she struggled to piece together the events of the previous day. Amidst the blur of memories, one image stood out clearly: Keshton kissing her.
Sibyl’s eyes widened as she held her breath tightly. “What kind of crazy dream did I have?” she whispered to herself, her hands subconsciously tightening on the bed sheet.
“You’re awake,” a familiar voice reached her ears, causing her to immediately look towards the bedside table where Glen sat.
Surprised, she asked, “Why are you here?”
Instead of answering her question directly, he remarked, “I never thought you would be so obedient and actually take a hit.”
Sibyl blinked in silence, slowly sitting up in bed, “Why do you look disappointed over the fact that I obeyed you?” she inquired.
“Because I feel like shit now, knowing a woman was injured because of me,” Glen muttered, running his hand through hair in frustration.
“I’m fine now,” Sibyl reassured him. The pain in her body had vanished and the silver was starting to fade from the wound. “Plus, I’m responsible for my own actions and decisions. I don’t blame you,” she explained.
“Still, I’m sorry,” he murmured, getting up and turning away. “Here, this is yours,” Glen said, passing her a mobile phone.
“Where did you get it?” Sibyl asked, taking it eagerly.
“The day we came to your apartment and you ran away using the window, I picked it up. I just haven’t had a chance to return it to you,” he explained.
“Thank you,” Sibyl smiled at him gratefully. She had thought she had lost her phone and would have to spend the money to buy a new one. She tried to switch it on, but the battery was dead.
He just nodded in response and informed her. “You can take the day off of work.”
“The day off?” she blinked at him in surprise, but then a woman entered the room.
“Please excuse us,” she gestured to Glen, showing off things in her hand.
When he left, the woman approached to check Sibyl’s injuries. “Can I go home?” Sibyl asked impatiently.
“Your wounds are healing very fast with the help of your wolf. You’re nearly healed, so yes, you can go,” the woman smiled at her.
Sibyl let out a relieved sigh. There was an unexplainable pressure in her mind from being in this place.
“Here,” the woman passed her a beautiful paper bag.
“What is this?” Sibyl inspected the contents of the bag in confusion to find a new set of clothes inside. It was a simple knee–length loose maxi dress. “Who brought this…”
The woman read her confusion and replied, “The Alpha that brought you here.”
Sibyl dropped the dress from her hand in shock. Did she just say an Alpha was with her? The dream crossed her mind as she stared at the woman.
Do you mean Alpha Keshton? He was here?” her voice only squeaked slightly.
“Yes, he left late last night after passing me this bag and paying the bill,” she smiled and turned to leave.
Sibyl sat there with wide eyes. Her hand went to her lips where she felt Keshton’s hot lips crashing against hers. A flush crossed her cheek, she felt a warmth rising within her. It had not been a dream… Keshton had really been there, and he…. kissed her!
She put her hand over her mouth in shock, Why had he kissed her? Was it a mistake? This time their lips were not that close for a mistake to happen like last time. What had he meant by not liking her being touched by another man? Nothing made sense here.

Standing under the shower, Sibyl gazed at her reflection in the mirror, her hand subconsciously went to her neck where the patch covering her mate mark was. She peeled it off and stared at it.
Sibyl’s mind echoed Keshton’s words. I don’t like when other men touch you‘
She bit her lip lightly and murmured to herself, Why would he say that?”
After getting dressed Sibyl went straight from the healer’s territory to the Eclipse Moon Pack. The hospital staff were concerned about her and talked about her well being, which warmed her heart. After chatting with them for a little while, she began attending to patients with the doctor. Surprisingly, the woman from the brothel was gone.
Thinking about her, Sibyl began working here and there until her eyes fell on the packhouse. Keshton’s face crossed her mind, sending her heart into a panic. She shook her head and went outside the clearing to retrieve a few boxes of medical supplies that were being unloaded. Carrying three heavy boxes, she began making her way back to the hospital when a hand took two boxes from her grasp.
She looked up in surprise to find Aries beside her, “Aries!”
“I knew you wouldn’t take the day off,” he chuckled.
She flashed him an embarrassed smile. “Actually, resting is not something I’m used to, plus working makes me feel better,” she explained. Spending a whole day at home doing nothing was really hard for a woman who was used to working everyday of her life. Especially one that was once a pack’s Luna. Another reason was that she didn’t want to lose today’s pay.
Just as one fills a pot drop by drop, her debt was going to be repaid with her small daily earnings. She couldn’t risk losing that money!
Holding the boxes in one hand, Aries stretched his other hand out to touch Sibyl’s head, where she had been badly bleeding the other day. “Are you really feeling better?” he asked. Sibyl was surprised by his sudden touch and looked up at him. His baby blue eyes were full of sincere sadness. “I’m sorry I couldn’t come to help you before you were attacked.”
Sibyl stared at him for a couple of seconds. His sadness was so strong that even her heart softened, as if she had done something wrong. “I’m really okay. Don’t blame yourself for something that you’re not responsible for,” she said, flashing him a light smile. “And” she paused, pointing at his finger that was touching her wound ever so slightly. “That hurts.”
“Oh, shit! Sorry,” he exclaimed, pulling his hand back.
Sibyl laughed at him, “I lied.”
Aries‘ heart skipped a beat seeing Sibyl, who was usually so serious, laughing.
His lips curled into a smile as he laughed along with her.
As they headed towards the store room, Keshton’s car pulled up in the clearing. Sibyl froze in place, her smile instantly disappearing. Keshton stepped out of the car, with Glen following behind him. Their eyes met and Sibyl felt her heart start to race. She hadn’t prepared to face him so soon after the kiss. How should she act? She clenched her fists at her sides, secretly bracing herself as he approached only, he walked right past her.
Sibyl stood there, stunned. The look in his eyes… it didn’t seem like the eyes of a man who had just kissed her. He seemed normal, as if they were strangers passing by. That normalcy didn’t align with what had happened between them the previous day.
“You’re back. I’ve been waiting for you….” Aries greeted Keshton as he walked past Sibyl to join the males.
Sibyl’s mind went blank when she realized Keshton had just kissed her impulsively, without a second thought. He had acted on a whim, toying with her emotions. He was just playing with her.
For a moment, she had forgotten that he was also a man, with all the tendencies that came with it. The corner of her lips curled into an enraged smile as she lifted her chin and continued walking without looking back.
Keshton slowly turned his head to watch at her vanishing figure, his eyes fixated on the scarf around her neck. His gaze darkened and his aura grew sharp, sending alarm through Glen and Aries.
“Keshton, what’s the matter?” Glen asked seriously. “Your aura has been growing more violent since yesterday. Why are you so angry?”
“It’s nothing.” Keshton curtly replied before leaving the clearing in a rage. Glen and Aries exchanged puzzled looks, unsure of what had triggered such
strong reaction in their Alpha.

Over the following two days, Sibyl tried to forget about her encounter with Keshton and pull herself together. She threw herself into hospital work and picked up an online blogging gig for extra cash, her nights had become long and busy. At the pack, Aries often joined her during his free time, they grew close during their interactions making time pass happily. Without realizing it, they became close friends.
However, Sibyl had noticed that since that day no rogue in the pack dared to cross paths with her. If they did they would look quite panicked and would avoid her like plague.
“Aries, what happened to Noah’s friends? I haven’t seen them since that day?” she asked as walked by the same bathroom that she had been caught by
Noah in.
“They left…” Aries smiled.
Sibyl nodded in surprise but did not ask much about the situation. However, whenever she crossed paths with Keshton, she treated him as if he were just another object in the room, ignoring his cold glares and dominating aura. She remained focused on her tasks, refusing to let his presence affect
her.
Then, on the third day, Aries did not show up. Instead, it was Glen that paid her a visit in the evening.
“Hey, wanna earn some extra cash?” He offered out of the blue, which made her suspicious.
“Cash? How?”
“Actually, we are short of serving staff at the moment. If you help then you will get a nice sum of cash at the end of the day.”
Sibyl had a lot of experience in serving since she had worked as a waitress in the past, plus the offer was profitable, “but I still have hours left here,” she pointed out.
“Not a problem. Follow me if you are ready,” he gestured.
After a couple of seconds of thinking it over she agreed but was surprised when he led her inside the packhouse. She hesitated for a couple of seconds until her eyes landed on other serving Omegas going here and there.
Glen left and the head Omega explained to her what she needed to do. Walking down the hallway with a tray of wine, Sibyl marveled at the beauty of the mansion. Once she reached the door of the room where she was supposed to serve, she took a deep breath before entering. What came into her
view was… Keshton.
She froze in place as their eyes locked for the first time in three days. Dressed in a navy blue suit with his legs crossed, he emitted a powerful aura, but the look in his eyes was unreadable.
“So she is the one…” the unfamiliar yet deep voice of a man attracted her attention.
Sibyl looked around the room, noticing three unfamiliar faces in addition to Glen and Aries, seated on different sofas. Aries seemed surprised to see Sibyl, while Glen avoided making eye contact with her instead busying himself with eating some nuts. Guilty for calling her over without providing necessary details.
“May I have a drink, please?” Christian smiled at Sibyl, indicating his empty glass.
Sibyl felt a wave of hesitation wash over her as she realized that the three unfamiliar faces were Alphas that had been with Keshton the other day, whom she had glimpsed from behind. Now they were all in the same room, and she had to serve all of them. The situation was nerve–wracking enough with Keshton alone, but with three more Alphas added to the mix, it felt overwhelming.
Though a part of her wanted to turn around and leave the room, she knew there was no going back once she had stepped inside. It was too late for regrets; she couldn’t simply run away. Instead, she lifted her gaze to meet Keshton’s for a brief moment, reminding herself that she was only there for some extra cash and would leave as soon as her task was done.
She began to move and started her work.
Keshton glanced at his friends then turned to Christian, who was sitting closest to him. “What were you guys thinking, calling her here?” His voice was low
“We were curious about your possession and wanted to take a look at her,” Christian casually explained.
Keshton stared at him blankly. “Do you guys have a death wish?”

“Not before meeting her.” Christian responded with a playful wink, diverting his attention to Sibyl, who was pouring wine into a glass with graceful precision. Her beautiful face remained calm and collected amid their exchange.
“Such skilled hands,” Odin commented, his gaze fixed on Sibyl as she passed him the glass. “Oh… where are my manners? I am Alpha Odin Romano. You have got a skilled hand,”
“Thank you,” Sibyl replied with a light smile, noticing Odin’s gray eyes, which complemented his sharp features and handsome face. However, his very black hair, slightly accented English and surname hinted at his Italian origin.
However, once she passed the next drink to another Alpha, he scrutinized her closely. “I am Alpha Sean Alvarez. What is your name?”
Sibyl was taken aback by the sudden interest in her. At the same time, the way he spoke and his surname made it clear that he was Mexican. He was a very handsome man, appearing as if he had walked straight out of a fashion magazine. 1 am Sibyl Hall,” she replied politely.
“Beautiful name.” Christian remarked, helping himself to another drink, earning Sibyl’s admiring gaze. “I am Alpha Christian Mikhailov,” His striking blue eyes and blonde hair, along with the way he spoke, made it clear that he was Russian.
Sibyl couldn’t help but feel surprised at the sight of three Alphas from different backgrounds and countries gathered in the same place, all of them Keshton’s friends.
Wait, why am I curious about his friends?‘ she asked herself, feeling a twinge of confusion. Just as she made up her mind to leave. Christian finished his drink in one go and placed his empty glass in front of Sibyl.
“How is it that a beautiful she wolf like you ended up in this rogue’s territory?” Sean inquired.
Sibyl blinked at him, noticing the same curiosity reflected in the eyes of the other two Alphas as well. It seemed as though they were unaware of the background story. Glen’s muscles tensed slightly as he observed the interaction between the three Alphas and Keshton, whose expression remained unreadable.
Sibyl hesitated, unsure of how to reply to Sean’s question. She glanced at Keshton for a moment before answering simply. I am working here to pay
off a debt.”
“Ohh… so you are Keshton’s possession,” Odin stated.
Keshton’s expression remained neutral until he heard Sibyl’s response. “Only until I pay off my debt,” she clarified.
The room fell into a dead silence, all three Alphas‘ eyes covertly shifted their attention to Keshton that was not good at all.
“What an unexpected plan,” Sean remarked with a smile as he poured a new glass of wine and placed it in front of Sibyl. “How about you take a seat and drink with us?”
Sibyl was taken aback by the offer and shook her head, “I am sorry, but….”
“It’s alright. You are an interesting woman. We want to get to know you,” Odin interjected, his handsome smile inviting as he pulled a chair from the side for Sibyl and positioned it in the middle of the table, directly across from Keshton.
The gesture left Sibyl feeling cornered. She couldn’t find a polite excuse to refuse the invitation, especially when it came from an Alpha. She recalled that the head Omega had given instructions about obeying the guests, the arrangement of the chair left her with little room to refuse.
When all the Alphas‘ eyes waited for her to sit, she forced herself to move, then quietly sat but avoided looking at Keshton.
“Are you not going to drink?” Odin asked, noting Sibyl’s empty glass.
“Sorry, but I have to walk back home so I can’t drink,” she politely refused.
“Oh.. but if you don’t drink, then you have to answer a question pertaining to something I am curious about,” Christian smiled charmingly.
Sibyl nodded hesitantly. Could it be they will ask about her eyes?
“I wonder what kind of man you like?” Christian inquired, his question caused Aries’s ears to perk up and the hand holding Keshton’s glass to pause.
Sibyl felt Keshton’s intense gaze on her as she answered the other Alpha’s question, “Someone simple, in his forties, who has never been a smoker. He had slightly messy hair and a small well kept beard. He is not too tall, or anywhere close to six feet, nor is he particularly handsome. Chubby, short, and should wear corrective glasses,” she paused, offering a small smile before adding, “Definitely not an Alpha.”
The room fell into another dead silence, punctuated by the sound of Keshton crushing the wine glass in his hand.

Sibyl ignored the feeling of amber eyes boring a hole in her face, failing to notice her phone buzzing with an incoming call from none other than her sister in law, Nina.
