Aaron POV

I swiped my table clean with my arm, sending the computer, paperweight, documents, and phone crashing to my room’s floor with a piercing smash. “What was she thinking?” I shouted.
“She was thinking that you’re married to her but you shower your affection on someone else. Obviously, she doesn’t want your pity. Any self–respecting woman would do that.” Eric sprawled over our bed, unfamiliar with the concept of boundaries, because now he was slipping beneath the sheets I shared with Venus. “It’s called spine, Aaron.”
I returned my anger towards the desk, ripped the cables and hurled them out of the window, smashing the glass of the window. “Where the fuck did she go without telling me?” I had lost a sense of time when I was Vicky. It was something bizarre and never happened before. Because at least I was always aware of Venus’s presence, but this time when I was with her, I didn’t even realize when Venus left. She rushed out of the class, and I realized it after a while. So I followed her smell, feeling guilty as fuck. How could I betray her? She must be in so much pain. She was nowhere to be found. So i drove speedily to my home. She wasn’t there either. Enraged, I became restless. What if something happened to her? Was she safe? My anxiety got the better of

“Maybe, you should start calling people or texting her friends. Should I tell dad and mom?”
Memories of the morning rendezvous in the bed flooded my mind. I ran my hand through my hair, thinking about how she sucked me. The beauty of her swollen pussy, her tempting body. Just thinking about that made my erection so hard that I wasn’t sure if I could even walk. The fact that she had gone missing without telling a word was a fucking torture.
“Are you listening to me?” Eric demanded.
No, I wasn’t. The pain without her was excruciating. Why didn’t I feel like this about Vicky? I picked up the computer and slammed it on the table, cracking the display in two. And now a nice new dent appeared on my table. My feet thudded on the floor as I made my way to the window, glaring at everything in general. I touched the broken glass as I hunted for a glimpse of her outside, knowing she wouldn’t be there. I had already checked every damn footage of every security camera in our house, and there was nothing. “Where the hell is she?” I growled.
“There’s steam coming out of your ears, Aaron,” Eric chuckled.
Suddenly, my phone chimed. It was a notification from Nathan’s social media. And when I opened it, my eyes bulged out. Venus was sitting with him and a redhead in a human town, cheering for a match. She had thrown her hands up in pure joy, and a part of her midriff revealed, showing her beautiful skin to everyone. Jealousy seared through me like a sharp dagger. There were boys in the crowd who were looking at her with lust–filled eyes. Like she was their sunshine.
Grumpy didn’t even fit for what I felt. She was enjoying a fucking hockey match with Nathan, and here I was fuming and fretting about her safety?
Snatching the keys from the table, I rushed out.
“Hey, I am coming!” Eric hurried after me, laughing stupidly. “She deserves it,” he muttered. If he hadn’t jumped in the car in time, he would have been minus one limb. “So, where are we going?”
“To get her!” I fumed. Her phone was switched off, and that irked me further.
Eric chuckled and tapped on his phone. “Cool, I just bought tickets for the match. Of the front row.”
I drove like a bat out of hell and reached the venue in one hour. The next I knew was that I was running inside to find my wife. And there she was. Cheering and clapping and jumping with Nathan and a redhead as every fucking guy in the crowd eye–fucked her. She looked so beautiful and mesmerizing that the sight stole my breath.
“You’ve got a great vibe, sunshine!” a guy cheered from behind. “The home team is winning!”
“Who’s your favorite player?” another shouted. “Gotta keep that energy up for the game!”
Fuck. God damn fuck.

Chapter 45
With a growl threating to ripple through me, I parted the crowd as I got to her, muttering curses under my breath.
“Venus!” I breathed.
“Aaron?” Her beautiful deep blue eyes widened in surprise. “How did you find out I was here?”
As if on instinct, I curled my arm around her waist and pulled her close to me to show every fucking man in the arena that she was mine. And the moment our skin touched, I fucking calmed. To fucking prove that she was mine, I grabbed her jaw with my hand, tilted her face up and pressed my lips to hers, forcing them to open. When she opened, I pushed my tongue inside, groaning and snarling, with the urgency to feel her, to make sure that she was safe. When I pulled away, we were both gasping for breath. I sensed a pin drop silence around us.
I rested my forehead against hers, my anger vanishing into thin air. “Why didn’t you tell me you were coming here?”
Her smile faded, and I wanted to kick myself for it. She pushed against my chest, getting out of my arms. Her distance fucked with my emotions. I wanted to get her back in my arms, feel her skin, and coat myself with her scent. Though she had been upset with me before, this made me anxious.
Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she just looked away. What the fuck? I didn’t know that her silence was going to affect me like this, but as it turned out, it was affecting my soul. I glared at Nathan, who had this redhead in his arms with her back against him. He scoffed. I grabbed Venus’s wrist and dragged her out of the seating area.
“Where are you taking her, homeboy?” the boys shouted.
I peeled my lips, baring my teeth in a snarl to quiet him. It seemed to do the work because if it didn’t, I would have fucking murdered a few of these
humans.
When we were near the bathrooms, I stopped and apologized, “Look Venus, I’m sorry.” She jerked my hand off and turned away. I held her shoulders from behind. “Please say something,” I whispered. Her silence was eating my insides.
She looked over her shoulder and pouted, and fuck the hell. How could her pout look so sexy? This woman would look beautiful in anything she did.
“Please speak to me,” I begged.
With her pouty lips, she said, “I didn’t like when you went to Vicky.”
Her response punched the air out of my lungs. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have.” When I pulled her back to hug her, she stopped me.
“No. Promise me you won’t go back to her. Ever.”
I swallowed thickly. “I promise.”
Her face softened. “I’ll be right back because this isn’t over.” She walked to the bathroom, leaving me feeling better.
And then, from the corner of my eye, I saw Vicky marching towards me.
