Chapter 131
They’d been married for five years, During the first year, Anathea used to call Gregory like clockwork, always asking if he would be coming home for dinner.
But Gregory would either answer with a cold “yes” or “no,” or he would just ignore the calls. Eventually, Anathea had stopped calling
He tried to remember the last time she’d actually done it–when she’d gone to Sinclair Group and begged him to let Eden Studio go. Other than that, she hadn’t reached out again. There were no more gentle questions about dinner. Nothing
Staring at her missed call, Gregory rubbed his temples and called her back.
It rang for nearly a full minute, but there was no answer. He frowned and tried again, getting the same result. So, he called Martin instead.
Martin picked up instantly. “Mr. Sinclair! Finally! I’ve been trying to reach you!”
He sounded panicked.
“What’s going on?” Gregory asked.
“This morning, Mrs. Sinclair and Ms. Whitman got into a fight at the hospital. Things got pretty serious.”
“Is she hurt?” Gregory straightened in his seat, brows furrowed.
Adrian glanced over when he heard that, his eyes flickering
“No, not Mrs. Sinclair,” Martin said grimly. “It’s Ms. Whitman. She got scratched across the face. Madam Eleanor showed up and called the police. Mrs. Sinclair is now at the police station.”
Gregory’s face darkened as he ended the call, standing up immediately.
“Something urgent?” Adrian asked.
“Yeah.” Gregory grabbed his coat and told Dexter to wait downstairs before striding out. Right as he left the room, he nearly bumped into Theo, who’d just come back from walking Dominic out.
“Greg?” Theo looked at Gregory’s expression, puzzled. “Where are you off to in such a rush?”
“Castenea.”
That was all Gregory said before disappearing around the corner.
Theo blinked, caught off guard. He’d known Gregory for years and had never seen the latter lose his cool like this. That man could stay calm even if the world was crumbling around him.
“What just happened?” Theo turned to Adrian, utterly confused.
Adrian shrugged, though he had a hunch this had something to do with Anathea. Yet Gregory had rushed off for Anathea? That was hard to believe.
“Back then, Greg didn’t even tell me that Ms. Jacobson was his wife.” Adrian looked over at Theo, narrowing his eyes. “You kept it from me as well.”
“Hey, don’t pin this on me!” Theo raised both hands in defense. “I was sworn to secrecy, okay?”
Besides, Gregory never officially introduced Anathea as his wife. Honestly, most people in the Sinclair family didn’t even acknowledge her as Gregory’s wife. She was just someone who lived there, barely part of the picture.
Everyone except maybe Brisa–considered Natalie Gregory’s real wife. They assumed he loved her and would eventually divorce Anathea to marry her.

Adrian glanced once more in the direction Gregory had gone, resting his chin in his hand. “Hmm, interesting.”

At the police station, Anathea sat quietly in the interrogation room across from the officers.
They’d asked her a hundred questions about what happened that morning, but she just kept her head down, fingers nervously twisting at her sleeve.
There wasn’t a single response from her, except for one thing. Every time they asked if she’d hurt Natalie out of jealousy or rage, she would lift her head just slightly, asking, “Where’s my mom?”
Her lips were pale.
The officers exchanged looks. It was the 51st time she’d asked that exact same question.
No matter what they said, she wouldn’t talk. She just kept repeating the same question as if she were stuck in some kind of loop. “Maybe we should bring in someone from psych,” one of them suggested.
Honestly, Anathea seemed mentally unwell. But the orders from Eleanor were clear–they had to get Anathea to admit she hurt Natalie on purpose.
