Chapter 26
Dylan panicked. He quickly pushed Olivia aside and rushed toward Chloe. But Chloe just turned and ran, crying.
“Chloe, let me explain.” Dylan immediately chased after her.
He soon caught up to Chloe and pulled her into his arms from behind. “Chloe, calm down. Just listen to me. It’s not what you think.”
Chloe sobbed uncontrollably, “I heard it with my own ears. You said you’d have a child with her. How can that be a misunderstanding? You broke your promise to me. I don’t want to be with you anymore. Let me go.”
Chloe kept struggling, but her movements were weak and soft, making her look especially delicate and fragile.
Dylan held her tighter. “I won’t let you go. You’re my future wife. I’ll never let you leave me.”
Chloe asked through tears, “Then why do you want to have a baby with Olivia? Did you fall for her?”
“No. That’s absolutely impossible.” Dylan didn’t hesitate at all. “Letting her have a baby is what Grandpa wants. His health is getting worse, and he said before he passes away, he wants to see me and Olivia have a child.”
Chloe sobbed, “But I don’t want you to have sex with her. If you sleep with her, you won’t be mine alone anymore. She’s always been so cruel to me. I don’t want to share you with her.”
“I won’t sleep with her,” Dylan said. “When I said I’d give her a child, I meant through IVF.”
Chloe finally began to calm down. She looked up at him through tear–filled eyes. “You really won’t?”
Dylan gave his word, looking serious. “Of course not. If I ever wanted to, I would’ve already done it.

Chloe broke into a smile and buried her tear–streaked face in his chest. “Babe, next time you make a big decision like that, talk to me first. Otherwise I’ll start overthinking things. You’re amazing, and Olivia’s always eyeing you. I’m scared she’ll seduce you.”
Dylan said, “Don’t worry. She won’t get the chance.”
To comfort Chloe, Dylar found out there was an auction happening tonight. He decided to take her there and bid on a few items as a gesture apology. He even brought Olivia along.
Yesterday, Chloe lost the spotlight to Olivia at that clothing store. Tonight at the auction, he was going to win it back for her.
