Aria’s expression slightly darkened.
So, he had spent the night at Seraphina’s place.
They weren’t even officially severed yet, and he couldn’t wait to be with another female.
“No, thanks. I have my own car,” she said flatly.
Seraphina grabbed her arm with surprising strength. “Don’t be shy. We work at the same hospital, and Kane will be here
soon.”
Aria couldn’t help but wonder if Seraphina was doing this intentionally, if she already knew about her bond with Kane and was now deliberately flaunting it in front of her.
She pulled her hand away forcefully. “I said no thanks.”
Suddenly, Seraphina fell to the ground with theatrical precision.
When Jasper saw his mother being “pushed” down, he rushed forward and shoved Aria with surprising force for a pup. “You mean woman! How dare you push my mom!”
Aria’s phone clattered to the pavement, the sound sharp in the morning air.
Not satisfied, Jasper stomped on her phone several times with all his might, his young face twisted with manufactured rage.
“Don’t you have any manners?” Aria grabbed his arm to pull him away, causing him to fall onto his bottom and burst into
loud wails.
Kane, who had just pulled up in his car, witnessed the whole scene.
He strode over. “Aria!”
In his urgency, he even forgot to hide their relationship from Seraphina and called her by name directly.
“Daddy! This bad woman pushed me!” Jasper cried dramatically, his face full of exaggerated misery that tugged at every protective instinct Kane possessed.
Seraphina immediately checked Jasper for injuries, her expression perfectly crafted. “Dr. Ashworth, if you have any issues with me, take them up with me. There’s no need to lay hands on a pup!”
Aria took a deep breath, clenching her teeth as her wolf snarled silently. “Aren’t you going to mention how your son deliberately stomped on my phone?”
Seraphina avoided her gaze. “Jasper…he didn’t mean to do that!”
“Stepping on it might be an accident, but stomping on it multiple times, that’s intentional!”
“ARIA.” Kane’s amber eyes burned with clear anger.
