Aria had yet come to her senses when Kane unexpectedly mind–linked her: “I can find a lawyer for you, but it depends on your performance.”
She was stunned.
Performance?
What did he want her to demonstrate?
Did it mean she should quickly vacate her position for Seraphina and her son?
Aria remained silent for a long time, and then replied with a simple “okay.”
Here, after Kane received Aria’s reply, he turned to instruct Celia to investigate the reason why Charlie was detained.

Kane’s amber eyes dimmed slightly as he recognized the calculated timing of the photograph.
“The matter has now spread across the whole TikTok! Everyone knows that you have a secret pup! Even Mrs. Whitford’s grandson says that child’s father is you!”
Victoria’s face turned pale with barely controlled rage. “You…you are having an affair within your mating bond!”
Although she didn’t particularly like Aria, Aria was still the Luna of the Ravencrest pack.
Now this illegitimate pup scandal had been exposed–that was a scandal for the entire Ravencrest pack!
Kane signed a document with divided attention, “He is not my son.”
“Isn’t he?”
Victoria was half–believing and half–doubting, her wolf instincts trying to read her son’s truthfulness.
He lifted his eyelids with patience. “No.”
Victoria had nothing more to say, recognizing the honesty in his tone.
After all, she still knew her son well enough.
If Kane really had a son with another female, he would have acknowledged the pup long ago. She wouldn’t have spent all these years without even holding a grandpup.
