Chapter 3
Gavin gently placed me on the guest room bed.
The next second, the bed dipped slightly as I felt someone sit down beside me.
A cold hand touched my cheek, and I forced myself to remain still.
Juliette’s voice came at just the right moment: “Mr. Harris, she barely touched the lemon water.”
The hand on my face paused for a moment before quickly withdrawing.
He spoke indifferently: “I see.”
Lemon water?
Could there have been something wrong with the water I drank earlier?
I suddenly remembered that every time I stayed over, Juliette would prepare a glass of lemon water for me in advance.
And every time I drank it, I would fall asleep quickly.
No wonder Gavin hadn’t been suspicious earlier he thought I’d fallen asleep after drinking the lemon water.

Gavin said, “Juliette, get some rest.”
Juliette replied, “Yes, Mr. Harris.”
As the footsteps faded away, the pressure on the bed disappeared as well.
The lights went out, the door closed, and the room fell into silence.
I breathed a sigh of relief and slowly opened my eyes.
That storage drive I’d accidentally accessed had at least 50GB, with only one folder inside.
Gavin had installed cameras in his house and secretly recorded so many videos–what kind of person was he?
Thinking of his serious demeanor during the day, I couldn’t help but sit up in bed.
No, I had to get out of here and call the police!
But then I frowned and lay back down.
The police would need evidence to open a case. The videos were still on his computer, and the lemon water had been taken away.
Without evidence, how could I possibly report him?

Chapter 3
It seemed I’d have to return to the study once more.

I held my phone, staring wide–eyed in the darkness until 2 AM.
The moment it was time, I immediately got out of bed and walked to the door, pressing my ear against it to listen for any
sounds outside.
The hallway was dead silent.
Everyone should be asleep by now.
So I gathered my courage and slowly opened the guest room door.
Gavin’s room was right next to the study.
His door was tightly shut, which gave me some relief.
Worried that my shoes would make too much noise, I simply took off my slippers and walked out barefoot, closing the door behind me.
Then I carefully made my way down the hallway toward the study at the end.
The study looked the same as before, except the computer was covered with its dust cover again and the lights were off.

The lemon water and snacks from the desk had long since disappeared.
It seemed I’d have to turn on the computer again to save evidence.
I didn’t dare turn on the lights. I quietly closed the study door and then stealthily started up the computer.
This time, I finally got a clear view of all the videos in the folder.
As expected, every single video without exception was related to
- me.
I used my phone to record these videos as evidence, then calmly shut down the computer again.
Just then, clear footsteps came from outside the door.
Someone was coming!
I quickly put the dust cover back on the computer and looked around, but couldn’t find anywhere to hide.
inally, I could only crouch under the computer desk.
It was already 2 AM–who would be coming to the study at this hour?
As the study door was pushed open, someone walked in.

The person seemed to have locked the door behind them.

I crouched tensely under the desk, not daring to breathe heavily.
Why was he locking the door?
As the footsteps gradually approached, a pair of men’s slippers stopped right in front of me.
It was indeed Gavin.
His dark silk bathrobe hung down to his calves, and that familiar cold fragrance was even stronger now, carrying a hint of moisture as if he’d just showered.
I covered my mouth and hid under the desk, terrified of making even the slightest sound.
He sat down in the computer chair without any awareness of my presence, his bent knees very close to me.
The computer was turned on, and the screen’s glow illuminated the scene before me.
As the screen flickered with light, a pair of well–defined hands skillfully untied the bathrobe.
I stared blankly at the scene unfolding before me, my mind going completely blank.
