old rental.

but he rejected her. Now she’s conned her way into Mr. Harrison’s good graces.”
Her voice wasn’t quiet, as if she wanted everyone to hear.
Soon, it attracted the attention of many people at the banquet, and whispers erupted.

I spun around, looking at him sharply.
Alex’s eyes flickered, avoiding my gaze.
Celeste laughed wildly, asking me,
“The evidence is all here, Chloe. What do you have to say for yourself now?”
