Chapter 74
Eric POV
I had researched about Nicole to the level that I knew what she would name her cat if she got one. But how could she fall for Ethan? i couldn’t wrap my head around it. All the research I had done never indicated the kind of boys she was into. She was a nerd, but Ethan was an average. So how did she fall for him? And why was it that every fucking time I saw him, I wanted to snap his neck into two? He gave me odd vibes. Like he didn’t belong here.
Nicole looked delicious sitting on my car’s bonnet. My mind was conjuring up ideas to pin her over it and fuck her senseless. But I didn’t want to offend her and so I had to tread carefully if I had to get her to teach me sociology. I needed Nicole too much to screw it all up by sleeping with her.
However, my heart galloped when I smelled her arousal in the air. She stifled a moan when I touched her bottom lip with my thumb and stared at me intensely when I sucked it in my mouth. She had crossed her legs because she wanted to hide that she was aroused by that action. Thank the goddess,
she didn’t know that i was a wolf. Her actions couldn’t be hidden from me.
As she sat in my car, looking out the window as the city blurred, all I could think of was the smell of her arousal. My wolf had gone mad after that, drooling over her like and goading me to taste her honey. Fuck. He was one out–of–control spirit who was sure going to make me land in prison one day. But that didn’t stop me from salivating over the girl I barely knew in person.
“So what is it about Ethan that you liked?” I asked. Why did I ask? But curiosity killed the cat. And I was a wolf. It wouldn’t kill me. Or would it?
She sighed. “Can we please not talk about him?”
I became quiet because I knew I had overstepped the line. In twenty minutes, I drove into the parking area behind the dormitories. As I started to unbuckle my seatbelt, she stopped me. “It’s fine. You don’t have to drop me.”
I didn’t like the way she dismissed me, but I didn’t want to force myself on her. A short silence later, I said, “Well, see you tomorrow at my place.” She hopped out of the car and, before closing the door, said, “Thanks for the ride.” And then she turned and went inside the building.
Next day, I was anxious. Nicole hadn’t come for our common classes, and the coach had again threatened me. “If you don’t get good grades this time, Wolfe, I will kick your ass so deep that you’d be able to taste my shoe polish in your mouth.”
I shot her a message.
-Will wait for you in the evening.
Nothing comes in for a long while, and then three gray dots appear. They stop, leaving me flabbergasted. Ten minutes later, they furiously dance on my screen and then her reply comes:
– Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah? That’s it? Gritting my teeth, I take that as a confirmation. And then my excruciating wait for the day to get over began.
When I reached home, I found Aaron eating grapes that Venus was feeding him as he studied. Ignoring them, I rushed to the bathroom and when I came down I found them smooching their lips off. “Hey!” I shouted. “Can you guys get a room? I have someone coming over!”
Aaron looked at me with a raised eyebrow as Venus snapped her head at me. “Who is coming?” she asked curiously.
“None of your business,” I growled as I headed to the kitchen.
Venus hopped out of Aaron’s lap and followed me like a ghost. “Are you dating someone?”
“Is that a “he” or a “she“? Aaron pitched in.
“What does she look like?”
Aaron stood behind Venus and asked, “Is she a human?”

“Is she in the same year as yours?”
“What subjects does she have?”
“Shuuuttt up!” I snapped at them. How could this couple suddenly behave like a mother hen? “She is coming to teach me sociology. That’s all And I want both of you to behave, okay?”
They both became quiet for a moment, after which Venus started giggling. “I think he’s in love,” she conjectured,
“Goddess. Venus!” I rasped. “You are talking like old wives!”
She opened her mouth to say something when the bell rang, saving me from her onslaught of more questions. I rushed to open the door, and relief flooded through my body when I found Nicole standing there. She was at my place exactly at 8PM,
“Hi
“Hi!” I breathed. She looked exquisite in jeans and a pink sweatshirt. I stepped aside for her to come in. And as soon as she was inside, my sister–in–law became excited.
“Hi, I’m Venus!” Venus introduced herself with a grin plastered on her face. “And he is Aaron.” Aaron waved to her with a tight smile, glancing at me.
“I’m Nicole,” she said, smiling like sunshine.
“Goddess, you have a beautiful name,” Venus chirped.
I glared at her to keep it down. But Venus was… well, Venus.
Nicole looked at me nervously.
“Let’s go to my room,” I said awkwardly, not wanting Venus to make it further embarrassing for me.
She nodded, and before Venus or Aaron could say anything, I grasped her wrist and climbed up the stairs to my room.
She dumped her bag on my bed, which I found adorable. And when she perched on my bed, I had this wild thought: I should pin her down and mark her as I claim her.
“Are you ready for this?” she asked, studying my face.
“Yeah. One sec.” I got my books and got in bed with her. To study. That’s all. But my dick is semi hard. Down, boy. My wolf is growling inside me. Down,
boy.
“Okay, so I think we should run through some theories first,” she said, as she took out a notebook. “Let’s start with Symbolic Interactionism. Erving Goffman and Herbert Blumer- their viewpoints are pretty simple.”
“Sounds great.”
As I read it, she took her book out and started writing points to discuss with me. However, a few minutes later, her phone buzzed.
“Sorry,” she said and picked it up. Her eyes narrowed at the message she read. and again, and again.
“Oh my God,” I burst out. “Do I have to throw it?”
he chucked it and went back to her book. But her phone buzzed again,
“Sorry,” she replied sheepishly, but I was too far gone. So I took her phone and saw that it was Ethan who was messaging her. “Eric!” she shouted as she lunged at me to take it back. But I was faster. I started to type even as she protested. “I swear, Eric, if you–” She snatched the phone from me but I had already pressed enter. With wide eyes, she read what I wrote back to Ethan.
This is Eric. You’re annoying the shit out of me. If you text her again, I’ll rip those hands off you.”
