But the moment she spotted a black Bentley parked just ahead, her heart, which had finally settled, suddenly shot up into her throat. Her grip on Anathea’s arm tightened instinctively.
“What’s wrong?” Anathea stopped and looked at her in confusion

“Thanks, Thea.” With that, Hannah turned and walked off. She deliberately chose the direction opposite the hospital, hoping to draw the Bentley’s attention away as far as possible.
In the end, she was almost running.
But a human could never outrun a vehicle. The next moment, the black Bentley zipped past her and screeched to a halt, cutting off her path with a sharp turn.
The window rolled halfway down to reveal a handsome man in silver–rimmed glasses. He looked like a polished intellectual. But only Hannah knew that beneath that tailored suit was a body packed with muscles, and behind that polished charm was a wicked streak that loved to tease.
“Running as soon as you see me?” Dominic looked up at her. The light reflected off his glasses with a chill. “What, am I some kind of monster now, Ms. Cole?”
Hannah instinctively took a step back, but the hospital was right behind her. She couldn’t let Dominic go anywhere near it.
So she took a breath and plastered on a dazzling smile. “Of course not. I just wanted to see if you’d come after me. You know I like being pursued.”
Batting her lashes, she walked around the car and got into the front passenger seat. The moment she sat down, Dominic leaned over, grabbed her chin, and kissed her hard.
His kiss left her breathless. She tried to push him away. “N–Not here…”
“Not where?” he asked between kisses, deliberately playing dumb.

Hannah shot him a glare. He had no shame, but she still had some!
Dominic only smirked, undeterred. He tilted her chin again, about to continue kissing her.
The next second, a car behind them laid on the horn. Dominic frowned and finally released her. He pulled a and headed toward a hotel.
