Keshton drove into his territory, and as soon as he entered, he saw Stella slap Trace across the face then angrily walk away. Parking his car, Keshton got out and glanced at Trace. “You must have done something incredible to earn that precious hit,” he remarked.
Trace groaned and replied dryly, “In the heat of the moment, I forgot I wasn’t wearing a condom and I released inside her…”
Trace’s voice slowly faded away and could no longer reach Keshton’s ears as Keshton suddenly realized that he had never used any kind of protection whenever he was with Sibyl. It wasn’t that he forgot, he simply hadn’t wanted anything, even a thin layer, between them when he took her. However…
“She never asked me to use a condom, even though women are usually very cautious about such things,” Keshton spoke to his wolf Rah, his tone full of suspicion.
Sibyl was certainly different from other she–wolves, but having raw s*x with an Alpha was inviting unexpected trouble onto herself, such as the risk of getting pregnant..
“She probably uses medication like the morning after pill,” Rah reasoned, which made Keshton think twice. Since he had come of age and started having s*x, he had never once had unprotected s*x with any female, no matter how many times they claimed to be on the pill. He never believed a woman and acted on his own will. Yet when he was with Sibyl, using those things just seemed to bother him, “Women have many ways to handle such things, especially when the woman is wild and intelligent like her.”
Keshton couldn’t ignore Rah’s remark and began to deeply consider Sibyl’s behavior.
“Keshton,” Glen called, jogging out of the packhouse. “Where have you been? So much unusual stuff is
happening along the pack borders, while you assholes have kept your mind–link blocked!” he complained, glaring at Trace as well.
Keshton shoved his hands into his pockets and casually asked, “Is this about the mysterious shadows?”
Glen was surprised, “How do you know?”
Keshton remained silent. Last night, when Sibyl was sleeping, Keshton sat by the window for a long time, watching the two shadows hovering around her building. They would move and back away if Keshton tried to
open the window. The shadows maintained a safe distance from him, but Keshton could feel their presence
every time he was with Sibyl. That was how he figured out that it wasn’t a living thing but a form of magic, a
magic that was spying on him.
The shadows had left the pack’s borders as soon as they realized Keshton had actually left the pack through
a different route, unnoticed, to catch them. It was clear that this magic was working for someone else. That
was why he found nothing when he went to look for the person spying on him the other day. However, this
magic only appeared whenever he was with Sibyl.
But this morning, Keshton had stopped feeling that magic out of the blue, as if it had disappeared or its purpose had been completed. That also meant that…
Rah suddenly voiced what was on Keshton’s mind, “Whoever it is, they are after Sibyl now!”
Keshton’s muscles tensed. The rising presence of a werewolf in the realm with a sick fancy, the use of magic,

and its connection to Sibyl had once again triggered memories of the past in Keshton’s mind, along with a face that was enough to snap his sanity.
“What’s wrong?” Trace inquired.
Keshton turned to Trace. “Bring me the CCTV footage from this morning that covers the area from Sibyl’s apartment to the strip club.”
Trace nodded in confusion, “Alright.”
Keshton turned toward the packhouse, closely followed by Trace, but Glen stood there watching Keshton’s back. The only thought that came to his mind was that this was once again related to Sibyl. Keshton had been with Sibyl the whole night, and now he realized that Aries was missing.
After buying a new pair of sunglasses, Sibyl headed straight to the strip club, only to encounter the manager standing by her desk, waiting for her. “You’re fired, Sibyl. You can leave now,” he stated bluntly.
Sibyl stared at him from behind her sunglasses, her silence sending chills down the other wolf’s spine. He cleared his throat and explained, “I heard about the mess you created with a customer in this club last night. That’s not acceptable, let’s not forget your less than desirable background with the Lunar Moon Pack and your misdeeds, like cheating on your soulmate. Moreover you are actually blind…”
“Give me your phone,” Sibyl cut him off mid monologue.
“Wh… what do you… mean?” the wolf stammered.
Sibyl snatched the phone from his hand and chuckled at the number on the screen, realizing someone had been feeding every word coming out of the manager’s mouth. She could easily guess who it was. She put the phone to her ear. “Does interfering in my life give you satisfaction, Daisy?”
Daisy flinched hearing Sibyl’s voice, her heart quivered when she realized she had been caught. She clenched the phone and decided to confront Sibyl. “It’s not interfering. It’s called putting a b***h in her place,” she smiled, crossing her legs. “When you left Edwin, you should have totally cut yourself off. How dare you take a share of his wealth?! What you took is not Edwin’s, it’s mine. His wife’s!” she growled furiously emphasizing
the last word.

Sibyl’s lips curled up. “Really? You are still among the lowest rank in the pack even if you pick up the trash ! abandoned,” she said innocently.
Daisy gritted her teeth, wanting to kill Sibyl if only she had the power to attack her through the phone, but she controlled herself. “Yes, I am still among the lowest rank in the pack thanks to your scheme that stole Edwin’s wealth, but not for long,” her tone changed to a soft and happy one as she added, “As of tonight, my` life is going to change.”
Sibyl sensed Daisy’s victorious smile, which displeased her for some reason. “Don’t tell me you’re going to marry Alpha Lester to claim the Luna position,” Sibyl chuckled, knowing how there was no limit to how low Daisy would stoop, considering she could make her lose a job with just a phone call and had provoked Leo to come here to expose her blindness.
Daisy laughed, “Well, that is a good idea, but I’m still into Edwin. Your ex–soulmate, whom you couldn’t even give a child to during the four years you were together.”
Sibyl’s face lost all expression as she clenched her fist at Daisy’s poisonous words.

Daisy continued, “Tonight, Alpha Lester is throwing a party for all the Alphas, and the King’s Council will be attending as well. There, he will announce my unborn son as the next Alpha in line in front of the world. He will transfer all his property and assets to Edwin in my baby’s name. When that happens, Alpha Lester will immediately retire from his Alpha position. Since my baby is still unborn, Edwin will take over the Alpha position until our child comes of age. As well as Alpha Lester’s accumulated wealth. Tonight, I will become the Luna of the Lunar Moon and Edwin’s official mate!” Daisy smiled happily at Sibyl’s silence, feeling victorious. This was a slap in the face to Sibyl, who had lost to Daisy despite getting a small share of Edwin’s wealth. What he lost to Sibyl was nothing compared to Lester’s actual wealth.
Daisy cut the call. Sibyl lowered her hand, her face expressionless. She placed the manager’s phone back casually in his hand before slapping her resignation letter to his face. Manager’s mind was blown in shock from the hit as he looked at Sibyl with wide eyes while placing a hand on his burning cheek where the resignation letter was glued from his sweat.
“Who are you to fire me? I had already made up my mind to leave this f****d–up donkey show job,” she smiled and left the club with a queen–like stride.
