“Wall a second Dwayne will be here shortly. I’ll have him give you a ride.“]
Dorothy froze slightly
She thought, “So, he was with Sonia last night
“We’re still married
“Yet, he’s already sleeping with another woman.“[]
She said, her voice flat, “That won’t be necessary. I have a car.“]
Sonia pulled her sleeve, “Come on. We’re colleagues, right? Dwayne might be her in any second.“[]
Dorothy took a deep breath to suppress her anger.]
She seriously doubted if Sonia was doing this on purpose, Maybe Sonia had known her relationship with Dwayne all along, which was why Sonia kept showing off in front of her.[]
At this, she pulled out her hand with great force and said, “I told you already. No need.“[]
Suddenly, Sonia fell to the ground.
Seeing this, Brenden started to push Dorothy, “Bad woman! You pushed my mommy!“]
Dorothy’s phone dropped to the ground.[]
Still angry, Brenden stomped on it a few times hard.[]
“Do you have any manners at all?” Dorothy pulled him away. Though she didn’t exert any force, he ended up slumping to the ground and crying miserably.
Dwayne happened to see this. He parked the car on the roadside, got out, and strode over. “Dorothy!“[]
In his panic, he called Dorothy by her name, even if it might reveal their relationship to Sonia.[]
“Daddy! This bad woman pushed me!”
Brenden burst into tears, looking extremely aggrieved.[]
Sonia worriedly checked if Brenden was hurt and then said to Dorothy while pulling a long face, “Dr. Acosta, if you’re upset, you can take it out on me. Hurting my son is uncalled for.“]
Dorothy took a deep breath and said through gritted teeth, “Ms. Frazier, how convenient that you forgot to mention he stomped on my phone 1
Sonia averted her gaze. “He didn’t mean to.“]
