“Mr. Stone, hello,” Dillan said respectfully. The moment Dillan saw Hayden, a flicker of envy flashed in his eyes.
Hayden was decked out in top–tier designer gear. His purple suit had shiny double–breasted buttons that looked like solid gold, and his super glossy leather shoes were so dazzling, probably from some high–end labels.
Hayden was even younger than Dillan. Standing there in his own outfit, Dillan felt like a complete clown in comparison.
Just as Dillan was sinking into self–doubt, he was stunned to see Hayden smiling at him.
He even started to doubt his own eyes. ‘Everyone says Hayden is supposed to have a terrible temper. Is he only acting this way because I’m Master Cameron?‘ he thought.
At that moment, Hayden only had eyes for Sylvia, but Dillan completely misread the situation. He was totally convinced that Hayden was impressed by him.
Sylvia hadn’t expected Dillan’s meeting would be with Hayden. After a moment of surprise, she shrugged with a smile.
“Hayden, it’s been ages,” Sylvia said. Just those few words were enough to make Hayden’s long–suppressed feelings surge back. The adoration in his eyes was impossible to hide.
“Sylvia, you know the only reason we haven’t seen each other in ages is because of you…”
Hayden was just about to pour out his grievances. He’d been overseas for a few months, dealing with Sylvia’s affairs. They weren’t just friends. They also had a few businesses together overseas.
Ever since Sylvia returned home, Hayden had no choice but to first wrap up all their overseas business affairs.
Hayden had been in love with Sylvia for years. It was only after she returned home that he decided to come back too, establishing an equestrian club and a children’s entertainment center just to be near her.
Not long ago, when Hayden’s children’s entertainment center opened, Sylvia brought Ruby there to have fun.
Dillan turned to Sylvia in surprise and asked, “Sylvia, do you know Mr. Stone?”
Sylvia nodded. “Hayden and I were both overseas before, so we just naturally got to know each other.”
Hearing Dillan call Sylvia so affectionately, Hayden instantly felt a surge of irritation. Remembering how Dillan had been pestering him online lately, Hayden darkened his face. He was ready to teach Dillan a lesson.
Sylvia immediately caught on to Hayden’s intentions and shot him a warning look. “Hayden, you’ve just met Master Cameron. The least you could do is shake his hand like a proper gentleman, don’t y
t you
think?”
‘Shaking hands with him?‘ Hayden froze for a split second, wondering. Then his handsome face instantly darkened with displeasure.
Hayden sneered inwardly, ‘Who the hell is Dillan? He’s/not even one of Silverton’s elite. Why should I bother shaking his hand?‘
Hayden had been standing there aloof, but when he caught the displeasure on Sylvia’s face, his heart clenc1 fair, slender hand.
With great reluctance, he extended his
“Hello.” Dillan eagerly grasped Hayden’s hand, his heart pounding with excitement. ‘Hayden is actually treating me differently! After all, very few people ever had the honor of Hayden initiating a handshake,‘ he thought.
Hayden’s brows furrowed slightly as he stated firmly, “That’s impossible. We already have a brand ambassador.”
If it weren’t for Sylvia, he would’ve kicked this shameless bastard out already.

A flicker of disappointment crossed Dillan’s face, but he quickly regained his composure.
Still, just being able to sit at the same table with Hayden was an honor in itself.
He secretly snapped a quick selfie with Hayden and quickly sent it to Joanna: [Joanna, check this out! I’m hanging out with Hayden right now
Joanna replied instantly: [Dillan, Hayden has a reputation for being difficult. You’re actually with him? You two must be really close!]
緊
Even though Joanna was starting to believe Dillan really was Master Cameron, something still felt off, especially when she thought about his beat–up car and cheap–looking clothes, which just didn’t fit the image she had in mind.
Moreover, Dillan had been subtly hinting at getting her to invest recently.
If Dillan was actually close to Hayden, that would definitely ease a lot of her concerns.
After all, Hayden wasn’t someone Dillan could just befriend.
As Dillan was texting Joanna, Sylvia quickly peeked their way and gave a sly smile. It was obvious she needed to help Dillan out so Joanna would trust
him even more.
“Dillan, you and Hayden seem to be hitting it off,” Sylvia suggested with a playful smile. “How about I take a picture of you two together?”
Dillan, naturally thrilled, instinctively looked toward Hayden.
Before Hayden could object, Sylvia was already at his side, giving his arm a gentle tug.
Hayden was about to refuse, but when he met Sylvia’s hopeful gaze, his resistance melted away. Before he knew it, he was rising from his chair.
Sylvia stepped back a few paces and raised her phone. “You two, move a little closer together. Hayden, smile for the camera.”
‘Smile for a photo with someone like Dillan? Not a chance,‘ Hayden thought bitterly.
Sylvia quickly walked over to Hayden’s side and, with a playfurtently lifted the corners of his mouth with two fingers. With no way out, Hayden managed a faint, reluctant smile.
Standing beside him, Dillan struck a dashing pose, casually putting a hand in his pocket to show off his sleek black watch.
Sylvia snapped a photo and immediately sent it to Dillan.
Feeling smug, Dillan slipped back into his seat and, making sure no one was watching, quickly sent the photo to Joanna.
When Joanna received the photo from Dillan, she was out shopping with her father, Martin Moore.
Martin had just returned from a business trip out of town when she immediately showed him the photo Dillan had sent her.
Joanna said, “Dad, this is Dillan I told you about! Turns out he really is the legendary Master Cameron everyone’s been talking about! See? He even knows Hayden!”
Joanna thought for a moment, then added excitedly “Since Dillan is so well–connected, maybe we should ive some serious thought to that investment idea he mentioned before?”
Martin, a distinguished man in his fifties dressed in a pristine white suit and a fedora, cast a skeptical glance at the phone Joanna handed him.
“A single photo proves nothing,” Martin said. “Hayden recently acquired the Aquamarine Star, a gem worth a few million dollars, at an auction in Faloria. If Dillan is truly that close to him, let’s see if he can try to acquire it.”
Martin had also attended that auction, but lacking Hayden’s boldness in bidding, he missed out on the Aquamarine Star. Especially after hearing it was a Falorian royal heirloom, he could have kicked himself with regret.

Hayden did indeed acquire the Aquamarine Star at the auction in Faloria, but his true intention was to present it to Sylvia upon his return
