Right then, Dillan was utterly lost in his own delusions.
Never had he felt so worshipped. The more admiration he received, the more he swelled with self–importance.
He even believed he was Master Cameron.
Dillan deluded himself, thinking, ‘Sylvia may act cold on the surface, but deep down, she must really care about me.
So, in a commanding tone, Dillan ordered Sylvia to rent the most luxurious conference center in Silverton, the Skyline Convention Center, for him.
Sylvia fell silent for a moment before responding, “I’ll… do my best.”
To rent the Skyline Convention Center, Sylvia would have to approach Byron.
Whether Byron would agree was anyone’s guess.
Dillan nodded. “Just let me know when the arrangement’s made.”
With a self–satisfied grin, Dillan turned to the elite Hollywood team standing before him. “Since you’re all so eager to join me, let’s find somewhere to sit down and talk.”
Dillan couldn’t believe his celebrity status. Even an elite team like this was flocking to him now.
He grew increasingly pleased with his “Master Cameron” persona.
Once Sylvia’s film production company was established, she promised to make him chairman.
Once he signed them all, he would truly have his own business empire.
The team didn’t respond immediately, instead turning in unison to look at Sylvia for guidance.
To them, Dillan was nothing. They didn’t even know the guy.
Sylvia was the real boss. She was the internationally renowned film investor known as Master Cameron.
Sylvia gave them an imperceptible nod of approval.
Taking Sylvia’s subtle cue, the team responded to Dillan, “Of course, Mr. Sheppard. We’ll follow you now to discuss our future collaboration.”
Dillan was feeling more and more pleased with himself, but when he saw them pile into a multi–million–dollar limited–edition business Audi, he couldn’t
help but feel a stab of resentment
Their car was ultra–rare. There were only a handful like it in the world while he was stuck driving a cheap one.
These damn employees were actually richer than him/
Dillan thought, ‘Once Sylvia pays me back, I’ll make her buy me a luxury car just like that.
‘Sylvia’s loaded anyway.’
“Dillan, let me come with you.” Joanna, who had been silent until now, suddenly piped up, her voice brimming with excitement.
Joanna thought excitedly, ‘Dillan is meeting with the elite Hollywood team. How could I possibly miss this?
‘Without Dillan, I might never have had the chance to meet such an elite Hollywood team in
my
lifetime!‘

Dillan agreed without hesitation. With Sylvia’s company having drained his savings and left him drowning in debt, he turned to Joanna and asked, “Which hotel should we meet at? Can you book it for me?”
“Sure thing! I’ll cover the cost,” Joanna replied without hesitation, eager to help out.
Sylvia stood aside, a subtle smirk playing on her lips.
Just as Sylvia had predicted, Joanna was step by step falling right into Dillan’s trap.
Once Dillan and Joanna left, Sylvia drove off, her heart heavy.
Sylvia had to carry out Dillan’s request. It was all the better to let him dig his own grave.
Sylvia steeled herself and drove to“‘s headquarters.
It was lunch break, and only a few employees working overtime remained in the office. Most staff were still out for lunch.
She went up to the top floor and knocked on Byron’s office door, only to find it locked.
“Ms. Sullivan, are you here to see Mr. Blair?” Chase emerged from the office.
Sylvia nodded. “Is Mr. Blair not in?”
Chase hesitated briefly, unsure if he should tell Sylvia. But recalling she was once Byron’s wife, he decided to be upfront. “Mr. Blair is in the Business Department on the seventh floor,” he said.
Right now, Byron was accompanied by two little ones, Zack and Ruby.
At lunchtime, Byron picked up Zack and Ruby and brought them to his office. After they finished lunch together, he gave them a little tour around the
company.
Byron looked fondly at the adorable Ruby beside him and couldn’t resist scooping her up into his arms. “Ruby, someday all of this will be yours and
Zack’s.”
Ruby giggled, “Daddy, I don’t want it. Give everything to Zack.”
Zack immediately tilted his little head up at his dad and said, “Daddy, just give everything to Ruby. When we grow up, I’ll look after her. I’ll even work for
her.”
Byron reached out and ruffled Zack’s hair approvingly. Seeing how close they were filled him with joy.
Just then, the elevator doors ahead slid open, and Sylvia stepped out.

The moment Byron saw Sylvia, his face lit up with barely contained excitement. But realization quickly dawned on him. He swiftly set Ruby down and pulled both kids protectively behind him.
Sylvia was taken aback when Byron picked Ruby and Zack up from school.
“Sylvia, I’m their father. Taking them out for lunch is perfectly normal.” Previously, Byron would never have bothered to explain himself to Sylvia, but now he actually found himself worried she might be upset.
Sylvia said calmly, “It’s fine. You have every right to bring them here. You are their father, after all.”
Byron couldn’t hide his surprise. In the past, whenever he got close to Ruby, Sylvia would get defensive, afraid he was trying to take the child away. He never expected her to be so reasonable now.
Byron looked deeply into Sylvia’s eyes and said tenderly, “Since you’re here too, let’s take the kids on a tour of the company together.”
It felt wonderful to finally have the whole family together.
