Alice let out a snort. Anyway, Eliana had no evidence, so any accusation from her was useless.
But under Theodore’s stern gaze, Alice finally said in a sarcastic tone, “Mindy, don’t you see Mr. Russell is angry? Go apologize to the woman he loves on
much.”
Mindy said, “Sorry, Mrs. Russell. I didn’t mean to. I’ll definitely be more careful next time and won’t offend you again.”
Seeing Mindy so submissive, Eliana felt slightly uncomfortable and said to Theodore, “Mr. Russell, forget it.” Servants might accidentally affect their lives while working. Theodore sometimes protected her too much.
“Never again,” Theodore said coldly. Then he took Eliana’s hand and went inside.
Mindy then said to Alice, “Mrs. Anthony Russell, sorry to bother you.”
“It’s okay. I don’t blame you,” Alice smiled and soothed her. “By the way, Mindy, since you’re a nutritionist, you must know a lot about infertility, right?”
Mindy nodded.
Alice went on, “Then can you prepare some special recipes for birth control?”
“Why do you need birth control recipes?” Mindy asked in confusion.
Alice said seriously, “I’m asking for a friend. She wants to focus on her career now, but her husband keeps urging her to get pregnant, which has troubled her for a long time.”
Mindy believed her and said, “Shall I email you the birth control recipes later?”
Alice nodded with a smile.
She not only wanted to have a child before her husband but also planned to make Eliana unable to conceive and regret for her entire life.
Meanwhile, when Jayden heard Eliana was back, he dropped his homework and ran to her. “Eliana, did you bring me anything from the trip?”
Eliana froze. She really hadn’t bought him anything.
“No?” Seeing her embarrassed, Jayden felt disappointed but gave her an excuse. “Never mind. I don’t need gifts anyway.”
“Wait.” Eliana suddenly remembered something. She took off a “necklace” from her neck and handed it to Jayden. “If you don’t mind, take this.”
Jayden chuckled as seeing a heart–shaped seashell necklace strung with a red rope.
Eliana asked doubtfully, “Do you want it or not?” He came back to his senses, snatched the necklace, and clutched it in his palm.
At that moment, he seemed to feel her lingering warmth from the shell. Thinking of this, Jayden’s face turned bright red, more excited than when he received his most wanted Christmas gift.
To prevent Theodore from taking it, Jayden immediately ran toward the elevator but stumbled and fell.
Theodore sneered at the sight, “What’s wrong with that kid?”
Jayden didn’t care about embarrassment, stood up quickly, and ran back to his room. Like hiding a treasure, he put the seashell necklace under his pillow.
