Chapter 134

As soon as Martin walked into the lobby, he grinned at Dillan and said, I’ve always wanted to dine in the Imperial View Balcony upstairs. Can we get a table today?”

Just a private room. No big deal. I’ll talk to the front desk,Dillan boasted, thumping his chest

Joanna covered her mouth and giggled, saying, Dillan, it’s not so easy. The Imperial View Balcony is renowned for its luxury. It’s usually booked a month in advance.”

Dillan’s expression faltered slightly. That hard?”

Martin chuckled and chimed in, Joanna, it might be tough for us, but not for Dillan. He’s the renowned Master Cameron. Even though most of his connections are overseas, they’re just as effective here.”

Sylvia listened nearby, her heart tightened

The Moores were clearly testing Dillanif his impersonation of Master Cameron was exposed, all her plans would go up in smoke

Sure enough, Dillan forced an awkward smile the next moment

He didn’t have any connections. This whole Master Cameron identity was just a facade

Putting on a brave face, he said to the Moores, Mr. Moore, Joanna, just wait here for a moment. I’ll go talk to the front desk. I should know some of the

executives at the Grand Oak Hotel.”

Dillan marched to the front desk and asked in a hushed tone, Is the Imperial View Balcony available?”

The receptionist replied courteously, I’m sorry, sir. Reservations require at least one month’s notice. And only VIPs can reserve it.”

Dillan inwardly cursed at the hotel’s ridiculous rules. His earlier boasts about knowing the executives had been just a ploy to fool the Moore family. Desperate now, he decided to gamble on his Master Cameron persona

I’m Master Cameron. You’ve heard of me, right?he bluffed at the receptionist. Get your management to vacate the Imperial View Balcony for me

now!”

The receptionist looked him over and replied, Sorry, sir, I’ve never heard of that title, but everyone has to follow our policies.”

Dillan’s face darkened with fury. How could she not recognize me?he fumed inwardly. I’m trending everywhere right now!”

Sylvia saw that Dillan was stuck in negotiations and knew there was no way he could book the Imperial View Balcony now

Not far away, the Moore father and daughter exchanged suspicious glances and began whispering, their doubts about Dillan’s identity growing

Sylvia’s heart pounded with anxiety. While she could use her connections to reach the hotel’s top brass, that would take precic

couldn’t afford

Every second wasted would only fuel the Mooressuspicions

Now, with Dillan about to blow up at the receptionist, Sylvia had no choice but to steal herself and rush over

Excuse me, miss, is the Imperial View Balcony currently occupied? May I speak with the guests inside?”

etime she

Sylvia had to help Dillan maintain the facade and prevent the Moore family from noticing anything suspicious. If possible, she would like to persuade the guests in the private room to give up their seats

Dillan’s eyes lit up with excitement. Sylvia’s idea was brilliant. Anyway, she was loaded just threw money at the problem, and it would get done

The receptionist politely but firmly declined Sylvia’s request. I’m sorry, but the Imperial View Balcony is currently occupied, and I’m not authorized to contact the guests for you.”

But when she casually looked up at Sylvia, she froze for a split second, then her eyes darted discreetly to her phone

Her face paled instantly

On the screen was a photo just sent by the bossit was Sylvia

Her boss’s message followed. If this woman asks for anything, give it to her.”

Their boss was none other than Byron, the notorious Tyrantof Silverton

He had taken the photo himself from the second floor. Though he didn’t know why Sylvia was here, he had already notified the front desk in advance

They were to comply with all of Sylvia’s demands, no questions asked

Sylvia was still racking her brain for a way to reach the hotel management after the receptionist’s refusal when, to her surprise, the receptionist’s attitude changed completely

Miss, since you wish to contact the guests in the Imperial View Balcony, I can try to get in touch with them for you,the receptionist offered

Sylvia was slightly taken aback. She wondered why the receptionist was this accommodating. This was going suspiciously smoothly

Dillan’s eyes widened in surprise. Leaning closer, he whispered to Sylvia, Wait, do you know her?”

Sylvia gave a knowing smile. She must’ve heard of Master Cameron’s reputation.”

The receptionist, catching Sylvia’s cue, shot a glance at Dillan and immediately played along. Yes, exactly, it’s because you’re Master Cameron. My apologies for not recognizing you sooner.”

The boss instructed her to satisfy all the requests of the woman in front of her; she dared not go against his orders

Dillan’s eyes lit up. Being Master Cameron really works!he thought triumphantly

Just then, Martin and Joanna approached

Martin narrowed his eyes and asked, How did it go?”

If Dillan still couldn’t secure the room after all this time, he would really doubt Dillan’s status as Master Cameron

No problem,Dillan declared triumphantly. The receptionist has already called to have the guests in the Imperial View Balcony switch rooms.”

Martin’s jaw dropped as he stared at the receptionist making the call, utterly stunned

Anyone dining in the Imperial View Balcony must be people of high standing. How could they possibly agree to switch rooms?he thought

Joanna gasped in disbelief and asked, Seriously? Since when does a receptionist have that kind of authority? How could she possibly convince the VIP guests upstairs to give up their private room?”

The receptionist hesitated for a moment, momentarily at a loss for words, but quickly regained her composure. Setting down the phone, she explained professionally, I’ve coordinated with our VIP guests upstairs. The Imperial View Balcony is now available for you.”

Seeing the Mooresastonished expressions, Sylvia smiled and deliberately asked the receptionist, Did you tell them Master Cameron wanted to use the

room?”

Yes, that’s what I said, the receptionist quickly played along, though in truth, she had no idea who Master Cameron was and hadn’t mentioned it at all

during the call

The Imperial View Balcony was made available so easily simply because the diner inside was none other than the hotel’s owner, Byron, the notorious Tyrant.”

Byron seemed to have a particular interest in Sylvia; upon hearing she needed the private lounge, he agreed almost instantly

Meanwhile, Byron was dining in the Imperial View Balcony with several prominent local officials. Documents littered the table as they discussed regional development plans

Although Byron agreed to switch rooms, with documents strewn everywhere, packing up would take a moment. Smiling, he addressed the group, Gentlemen, we’re changing rooms. I’ll wait for you next door. They’ll be here soon. Remember, there’s a woman named Sylvia Sullivan. Just follow her instructions without question.”
