Cecily was really mad and kept complaining, totally ignoring Elias’s warning look.
“You can glare at me all you want, but I still have to say it, Britney, you really need to do something about him. He just doesn’t care about his own health! He was doing the work of ten people, staying in the office all day long. His assistant said he hadn’t been home for a week! He was eating, drinking, and doing everything at the company! It was like he didn’t even care about his life!”
When she got emotional, Cecily couldn’t help tearing up, and her voice choked, “If something really happened to you, what about my mom? What about me?”
When Elias’s dad passed away, Cecily was still in elementary school, and Selena Finch’s health was already not good.

Hearing that, Britney felt a bit upset.
Even though Cecily didn’t go into details, she kind of knew what was going on.
Elias probably thought she didn’t have enough money and couldn’t get new investment, so he wanted to save money for her and ended up exhausting himself.
