Whether Rodrick responded or nodded didn’t matter anymore.
Federico came to pick up Britney for dinner. He said he had an idea about how Britney could pay him back.
But Britney didn’t expect that the restaurant Federico booked was actually Placidity Eatery.
Life was really dramatic sometimes.
She had been thinking about it for so long, always wanting to go to the restaurant with Rodrick.
In the end, it was Rodrick who brought Bianca.
But she came with Federico.
“What? You didn’t like this restaurant?”
Federico saw that she still hadn’t moved and thought she didn’t like it here, so he said, “Let’s go somewhere else then.”
“Not really.” Britney shook her head, giving a slight smile, “I liked it here.”
I liked it so much that I wanted to come here for a date with someone I
liked.
“I guessed you would like it, this restaurant was really popular online, most girls liked the style here.”
Federico booked the private room, and the place was even more
elegant.

A good environment made Britney feel a lot better when she was feeling down.
When Federico let her order, he reminded her. “Don’t order anything spicy, your stomach isn’t good.”
Britney ordered all the dishes she had wanted to try before, and some of them were spicy.
Before Federico could say anything, she admitted her mistake and promised to just have a taste, not eat too much.
“This won’t happen again.” Federico finally agreed.
Federico’s phone rang halfway through, and he went outside to take a call.
Came back with one more person.
Britney knew this person too, it was Edward.
Edward never thought the person eating with his cousin would be Britney.
“Let me introduce…”
“I know Britney, Rodrick’s secretary, no need for an introduction.” Edward cut Federico off before he could finish.
Just like before, the way he looked at her was obviously mocking and dismissive.
Out of respect for Federico, Britney didn’t say anything.
“Bro, Rodrick and Bianca were eating here too, come join us.” Edward said to Federico.

In this invitation, they obviously left Britney out.
Federico turned it down, “I had something to talk to Britney about, so I didn’t go. You guys cat.”
“Alright.” Edward said sulkily, probably not expecting Federico to be turned down by Britney.
“Then I’m leaving.”
Bianca knew Edward was coming, so she asked the waiter to add a seat in advance.
It was just that when others came in, he looked really annoyed, like someone had pissed him off.
Bianca smiled and asked him, “What’s wrong?”
Edward thought bringing up Britney was a bit of a buzzkill, so he just shook his head and said it was nothing.
Anyway, Bianca was so outstanding, Britney just couldn’t compare.
There wasn’t even any comparison!
So my cousin and Britney probably just had a normal meal together.

Thinking like this, Edward felt at ease again.
Had dinner with two finance whizzes, and Edward couldn’t get a word in. He just sat there quietly the whole time, listening to them talk about projects, risks, and prospects.
