Milo was just trying anything he could, so he sent his subordinate Iris Caldwell to ask Britney for help.
Iris was the one who threw shade at Britney on Instagram during the last team building.
Iris didn’t dare say yes.
She drank too much at the team building that day and posted on Instagram, forgetting to block Britney. Even though a coworker reminded her and she blocked her in a hurry afterward.
But she always felt like Britney had already seen it.
Otherwise, in the past couple of days, when she asked Britney for help, Britney was just kind of indifferent.
If there was a problem, they just sent it back.
Unlike before, I didn’t kindly point out her problems or give her advice on how to fix them.
“What are you looking at me for? Go now!” Milo irritably ran a hand through his hair. “If this project didn’t work out, not just you, even I’d be kicked out!”
When Iris heard how serious it was, she didn’t dare slack off. “I think it might be better to find Ms. Webster.”

Back when we had team building, Iris sucked up to Bianca a lot, so they kind of had some connection.
So when Iris found Bianca, she said yes without any hesitation.
“I was just about to go find Rod, I’ll take care of this file for you!”
“Thank you so much, Ms. Webster!” Iris said, almost in tears.
“We’re all coworkers, why be so polite with me? Maybe I’ll need your help with something later too.”
Iris spoke up right away, “Just say whatever you want.”
Bianca’s smile grew wider.
She was always good at winning people over.
She just started at Royarch Capital. Before that, just to discredit Britney’s work, she shot down all the projects Britney had been following up on.
Right now I didn’t have any good projects, so of course I had to look for something else.
Iris had no idea that when she went to Bianca, she was just walking right into a trap.
When Bianca went to find Rodrick, he had just finished an online meeting, and his face looked cold and grim.
She didn’t knock, just/pushed the door open and was about to speak.
I just heard Rodrick/say, “Britney, make me a cup of coffee.”

When I came back again, Rodrick was still busy.
She quietly pushed the coffee over.
Rodrick took a sip, then frowned, “Why did your coffee–making skills get worse?”
When he looked at the person, he realized it wasn’t Britney, but Bianca.
“Not good?” Bianca asked, a little upset.
Rodrick paused, “No.”
Even though he said that, Rodrick didn’t touch the coffee again, and instead asked Bianca what she wanted with him.
“This was an urgent document from Investment Division II that needed you to handle.”
“How come you brought it? Where’s Britney?” Rodrick frowned again, sounding pretty annoyed.
“Looks like work was over.”
Rodrick paused flipping through the files.
Off work on time again?
This answer made him feel a bit annoyed.
Ever since that night ended badly, he and Britney hadn’t really talked.
Rodrick thought he just needed to ignore her and give her the cold shoulder like before, and she would realize her mistake and come to him to make up.
