Britney couldn’t help but shiver.
“Sorry, this was an internal company matter. We would handle it ourselves. Sorry to trouble you.” Rodrick finally spoke up.
It was something she expected, but when she actually heard him say it, Britney’s heart still tightened a bit.

She didn’t owe anyone!
I didn’t owe Rodrick anything!
So why did she have to put up with it? Why did she have to back down?
At that moment, Britney was like a hedgehog covered in spikes, putting up her guard against everyone, including Rodrick.

Bianca held her dress sadly, “The party’s tomorrow. What should I do if my dress is ruined?”
Rodrick looked up and glanced around the closet, then his eyes stopped on a white satin dress, “Try this one.”
What he talked about was exactly the dress Britney had custom–made for herself.
