Federico called and asked if Britney had arrived. She answered the call and then went in.
Bianca asked Federico, “How did she come? Gnome Bank invited her?”
Edward scoffed, “No way! Who knows where she got that invite from. Britney’s super sly, probably just here for the resources.”
Bianca had already guessed that, and when she heard Edward say it, she felt even more sure.
“Someone like her who climbed up from the bottom definitely wouldn’t let any chance slip by, since if she missed it, she might never get another one.”
Edward just got roasted by Britney and was in a bad mood. He didn’t want to mention Britney. “Don’t talk about her, she’s like a ghost, always haunting me. If I were Rodrick, I’d just fire her!”
“Rod was someone who kept work and personal life separate. If Britney didn’t do anything wrong, he wouldn’t fire her.”
Edward was annoyed, “That’s true, Rodrick was just too upright, that’s why he got played by someone scheming like Britney!”
“Alright, let’s not talk about her. Did Rico bring a date?” Bianca was more interested in this.
