Chapter 10
The day Savannah was discharged from the hospital, she received a call from Tobias. His voice sounded hesitant, as if unsure of what to say.
“Savannah, before… before I lost my memory, I did a lot of things that hurt you. Now that it’s all come back to me, the more I think about it, the more I regret it. Can we go back to how we were before?”
Savannah fell silent for a moment. In those few seconds, Tobias’s heart seemed to stop beating.
Surprisingly, when Savannah heard about his memory loss, she didn’t hesitate or show any shock. She simply smiled.
“Alright.”
A sigh of relief escaped Tobias. “Then, are you willing to marry-”
“I’m willing.”
Before he could finish, Savannah answered.
“Not only that, but tomorrow, I’ll also give you a gift.”
The weight of the past few years lifted from Tobias’s chest in an instant and a rush of excitement coursed through him like fireworks in his mind. He could hardly contain his joy. “Alright, I’ll arrange for someone to pick you up tomorrow.”
“No need. I’ll come by myself.”
Her voice was calm, almost flat, but Tobias was so consumed by his excitement that he failed to catch the strange undertone in her words.
Just before the call ended, a teasing voice echoed from the other side.
“Tobias, who are you talking to? Come and help me see how this new lingerie looks on me.” Perhaps thinking the call had already ended, Tobias’s hoarse voice responded, “We’re getting married tomorrow and you still want to tire me out tonight?”
Savannah let out a sharp, bitter laugh before hanging up without a second thought.
Outside, the gentle patter of rain began to fall. As she walked down the hallway, she overheard a whispered conversation from the nurses.
“Isn’t that Miss Rossi, the one who miscarried a few days ago? She’s leaving the hospital alone, so pitiful.”
“Yeah, when Mr. Duncan rushed her here, he seemed so anxious. I thought they were deeply in love. Turns out, he spent almost the entire time with Miss Davis instead.”
Pitying looks were cast her way, but Savannah didn’t acknowledge them. She tightened her coat around her, stepping into the rain with nothing more than an umbrella for company.
That night, messages from Tessa flooded in, each one more pointed than the last.
Some detailed the aftermath of their night together, while others showed Tobias helping Tessa pick out a wedding dress or buying her an expensive diamond ring.
Savannah didn’t bother replying. Instead, she focused on clearing out the remnants of her past with Tobias.

She tossed aside the last of the old memories and with it, the burden of those years finally lifted from her shoulders.
Whether joy or sorrow, everything had finally come to an end.
Once everything was settled, Savannah dialed a number.
“You can come pick me up now.”
A few hours later, a private jet touched down gracefully in front of her.
Rafael stepped off the plane, his eyes lifting lazily and smiled.
“Finally meeting you, Savannah.”
Savannah didn’t waste time with pleasantries. Without a word, she raised her hand and asked, “Where’s the stuff?”
“In such a hurry? Of course, it’s ready.”
He handed her the wedding invitation and a check he had prepared long before.
On the wedding invitation were the names Rafael Raven and Savannah Rossi, with the wedding
scheduled for one week later.
The check was carefully written for an amount that would clear all of Savannah’s debts.
Savannah smiled, handing the items to the bodyguard beside her before pulling a USB drive from her pocket.
“Tomorrow, please deliver this invitation and check to Tobias’s wedding venue. Also, please senc me a message: congratulations on his wedding. I hope he likes his gift.”
‘There’s a video on this USB drive. Play it for him during the wedding.”
Once she had given her instructions, Savannah turned her gaze toward Rafael.
Rafael stood a few steps away, a playful smile curling at his lips as he extended his hand toward
ner.
‘Let’s go.”
She lifted her legs and stepped onto the plane. As the cabin door closed behind her, she never
ooked back.
