Chapter 11
On the other side, it wasn’t until daylight fully broke that Tobias finally got off Tessa.
Looking at the red marks scattered across her body, Tessa blushed with embarrassment an half–jokingly pouted.
“Tobias, you really have no sense of restraint.”
Tobias dropped a kiss on her forehead, his voice still carrying a trace of lingering desire. “Firs time realizing that?*
Tessa huffed softly and pushed him playfully.
“You dragged me on all night without any moderation. It’s fine at other times, but our wedding is about to start. What if I can’t cover these marks in the dress?”
At the mention of the wedding, Tobias’s movements paused and a complicated look crossed his face.
After a long silence, under her expectant gaze, he finally spoke.
“Tessa, let’s break up.”
The words struck like a sudden clap of thunder.
Tessa’s eyes widened sharply, staring at him in disbelief.
“Break up?! Why?!”
As she questioned him, a name instantly flashed through her mind.
She grabbed Tobias’s wrist, tightly.
“Is it because of Savannah?”
Tobias didn’t deny it. “Yes.”
He took a deep breath, trying to explain properly. “Tessa, I’m very grateful for everything you’ve done for me over the years, but I-”
However, Tessa couldn’t bear to listen anymore. A flicker of jealousy flashed across her eyes anc
her voice grew tight with emotion.
“Why is it always her?! In what way am I less than her? I tolerated when you hit me because of her and now you want to break up with me for her again?”
The sharp malice in Tessa’s voice made Tobias frown. His tone grew colder as he spoke.
“Tessa, from the very beginning, when I agreed to be with you, I made it clear I was only with you out of gratitude for what you did for me. Over the years, I’ve given you more than enough. Now, I’m telling you plainly: aside from material things, I can’t give you anything else.”
“As for my decision, you have no right to interfere.”
Feeling the chill in Tobias’s words, Tessa bit her lower lip, forcing back the anger that threatened to consume her. She pressed out a few tears.
“Tobias, you misunderstood. It’s just that the wedding invitations have already gone out. If the wedding doesn’t happen, all the guests will have come for nothing.”
In the past, whenever Tessa cried, Tobias would be quick to comfort her.

But today, his mind was elsewhere, consumed only by the image of Savannah in a wedding dress. He had no room for Tessa anymore.
The thought of seeing Savannah soon brought an uncontrollable smile to his lips.
“Who said the wedding can’t happen? I’m not marrying you, but that doesn’t mean I’m not marrying someone else.”
Tessa’s face turned pale as realization washed over her.
Sure enough, in the next moment, Tobias’s voice lifted with an unmistakable hint of excitement.
“Savannah has already agreed to marry me.”
