Chapter 21
Tobias froze for a moment, staring at his own palm in disbelief, almost thinking he hadn’t controlled his strength.
But when he looked up, he caught the faint smirk curling at the corner of Rafael’s lips, a smug, mocking satisfaction.
The smile disappeared in a flash. By the time Savannah turned toward him, Rafael had lowered his head, his body trembling as if he were enduring intense pain.
“Savannah, don’t blame him. It’s my fault for saying too much.”
Upon seeing him like that, Savannah’s guilt only deepened. She gently wiped the blood from his wound.
Watching the two of them so intimately close, Tobias felt as if his chest would explode from
rage.
“Savannah, don’t believe him! He was laughing just now!”
He had fought Rafael for years, wary of every move and yet still fell for such a low trick.
If it had been before, whenever Tobias was this angry, Savannah would have unconditionally
stood on his side and believed him.
But now, all she felt toward him was revulsion.
“Tobias, if you’re going to lie, at least make it convincing. Who laughs after getting punched?”
“If I wasn’t clear before, let me be now; I’m not going back with you. There’s nothing left between us. Everything I’ve done from the beginning was to leave you.”
Her expression turned cold, her tone stripped of warmth and Tobias felt as if a blade had been driven straight through his heart.
“Savannah, you’re only saying this because you’re angry. Is it because of Tessa? I’ve already cleared things up with her. In my heart, it was always you.”
“Think about the three years we spent together. Can you really walk away from all of that?”
“Memories?” Savannah almost let out a laugh.
Those so–called memories were nothing but a cruel joke.
She rubbed her forehead, no longer willing to say another word to Tobias.
Sensing her helplessness, Rafael stepped forward and cut Tobias off.
“Sir, you’re disturbing me and my wife.”
The moment he spoke, a group of bodyguards closed in around Tobias.
“Wherever he came from, send him back.”
The bodyguards gave a quick nod, seized Tobias by his limbs and began dragging him away without hesitation.
Unable to break free, Tobias’s face turned from red to green, his jaw clenched tight as he spat through gritted teeth,
“Rafael, you’re shameless!”

His knees scraped against the floor, splitting his pants and leaving streaks of blood behind.
He turned to Savannah with desperation in his eyes as if begging to see even the faintest flicker
of pain. But no matter how hard he looked, all he found was cold impatience.
When the room finally fell silent, Rafael turned toward Savannah with cautious eyes.
“Should I have let you two talk alone?”
She shook her head.
“There’s no need. Everything that needed to be said has already been said.”
Then she curved her eyes into a soft smile and reached for Rafael’s hand.
“Let’s go pick out our rings.”
