Chapter 25
Under Tobias’s furious, burning gaze, Tessa couldn’t help but recall the suffocating terror she felt at the wedding; a chill crept down her spine.
She knew all too well how terrifying this man could be once he lost control.
At this point, Tobias would never let her off easily. She bit her lip, suppressing the panic rising in her chest and forced a sweet smile.
“Tobias, who told you I deliberately sabotaged Savannah? People will say anything to stir up trouble.”
“Since Savannah has already married another man, it’s better for us to live our lives well. Didn’t you say you wanted to see me in that new lingerie? I’ll wear it for you tonight.”
As she spoke, Tessa lowered her collar, revealing a swath of snow–pale skin.
She was confident; no man had ever resisted her in this state.
Every time they fought, they always ended up back in bed.
She leaned closer, brushing herself against Tobias’s arm, her voice soft and coaxing.
“Don’t be mad. Why not use all that energy in bed instead?”
Unexpectedly, the moment she touched Tobias, he recoiled as if he had touched something filthy and suddenly slapped her heavily.
“Get out!”
“Tessa, you’re absolutely disgusting.”
Tessa hit the ground hard, her ears ringing.
She clutched her face, staring up at him and a flicker of vicious hatred flashed in her eyes.
Tessa felt herself spiraling into madness from jealousy.
After Savannah’s first departure, Tobias had buried himself in work and she truly believed he had moved on.
In those early days of his career, she pulled every string she had, exhausting her network just to smooth his path to success.
But what she hadn’t expected was that the moment he made a name for himself, the very first thing he did was look for Savannah and use every means to keep her close.
That realization left her bitter and powerless. Driven by jealousy, she proposed the revenge plan. After years by his side, watching Tobias crush Savannah again and again, hearing him repeat that he loved her, Tessa thought his heart had finally turned her way.
He had once whispered it during passion, arms around her, promising that his love belonged to her.
But in the end, those words meant nothing.
Even after Savannah walked away a second time, Tobias still wouldn’t let her go.
How was she any less than Savannah?
Staring at Tobias’s look of disgust, all of Tessa’s pent–up fury finally erupted.

“Tobias, you have the nerve to call me disgusting?”
“Yes, I was involved in Savannah’s bankruptcy. But business is ruthless; no one knows that better than you! Was I wrong? If it had been you, your methods would’ve been even crueler!”
“You say I pushed you into that revenge plan, but without your approval, could anything have happened?”
“You had Savannah record sex videos for your revenge, so why was it wrong for me to record ours and send them to her? Or was all that moaning and pleasure in those clips just for show?!”
Each word hit Tobias like a knife to the gut. His jaw clenched, his teeth grinding in the shadows.
“Tessa, you’re begging for death.”
