Chapter 27
After finishing her media interviews, Savannah was about to head to the company to wrap up some final tasks when Rafael suddenly pulled her into the car.
“Where are we going?”
She blinked, caught off guard, but before she could react, a bouquet of flowers was gently placed into her hands.
The style and scent of the flowers were exactly what she liked and they weren’t commonly seen in the market, clearly showing that the sender had put a lot of thought into her preferences.
Savannah couldn’t help but feel a warmth in her heart. Before she could say thank you, she saw Rafael’s eyes curve with a slight smile.
“I already took care of your pending work. Tomorrow’s our wedding; why not take the day off and relax a little?”
As he spoke, he pulled out two ticket’s from his coat pocket. “There’s a music festival nearby. I pulled a few strings and got us in. Let’s go together.”
Savannah looked at him in disbelief, “You finished the work ahead of time?”
These past few days, they had been together almost constantly due to the wedding; she couldn’t recall a moment when he had time.
Sensing her confusion, Rafael chuckled softly.
“While you were sleeping last night.”
Savannah laughed. “Are you secretly living inside my stomach?”
Rafael simply smiled, saying nothing.
Amused and touched by his effort, Savannah didn’t want to ruin the moment and readily agreed
to his arrangement.
The car came to a stop in a quiet corner near the music festival grounds. The venue was packed, people pressed shoulder to shoulder, jostling in the crowded space.
Without hesitation, Rafael reached for Savannah’s hand, gently pulling her close and shielding
her with his arms.
The warmth of his palm seeped into hers and his strong, steady embrace, coupled with his familiar scent, enveloped her completely.
At the moment of skin contact, it was as if an electric current passed through her body, bringing a tingling sensation that made Savannah’s heart skip a beat.
For reasons she couldn’t explain, an unexpected sense of security wrapped around her.
As the music throbbed around them, Savannah pressed her lips together and gripped Rafael’s
hand tighter.
They had just settled into a spot when the crowd suddenly surged forward.
Savannah lost her footing and stumbled straight into Rafael’s arms.
“Sorry, did I hurt you?”
She turned her head in panic, only to meet Rafael’s amused eyes.

Their gazes locked and at that moment, she heard a heartbeat pounding rapidly, though she couldn’t tell whose it was.
A burst of screams rose around them and curious eyes turned in their direction.
Noticing something odd, Rafael glanced upward, then smiled and lightly scratched her palm.
“Turn around.”
Savannah slowly turned and there on the giant screen, their faces were clearly displayed for all
to see.
Rafael leaned in close, his voice low and teasing by her ear.
*I heard couples who show up on the big screen are supposed to kiss.”
The deep, magnetic voice brushed past her ear. Savannah’s ears instantly turned red, but she didn’t hesitate. She tiptoed and placed a kiss on Rafael’s lips. Amid the roaring cheers, Rafael hugged Savannah even tighter.
When the kiss ended, Savannah’s face was completely flushed. Only then did she notice something; at some point, a ring had been slipped onto her finger.
“This ring…”
She looked up at him. Though the music thundered around them, she could clearly read the words forming on Rafael’s lips.
“Savannah, marry me.”
Her heart lost all sense of rhythm. A dazzling smile bloomed across her face, warm and radiant like spring.
‘That was too casual. As punishment, you’ll have to propose again.”
But Rafael only looked at her, his eyes steady and filled with sincerity.
“Alright. As many times as you want.”
