Chapter 28
After rushing for what felt like forever, Tobias finally arrived in Ardell just before the wedding.
This was Rafael’s territory and Tobias hadn’t forgotten how, last time, coming alone had gotten him thrown out without mercy.
This time, he came prepared. He brought over a dozen men, ready to create chaos at the wedding.
Rafael’s wedding was nothing short of extravagant. It was broadcast live online as if he were announcing his claim to the entire world.
Tobias clenched his teeth in a fury, but with no other choice, he watched the livestream as he and his men made their way to the venue. Though the bride and groom had yet to appear, the place was packed.
The decorations were opulent, every detail screaming elegance and intent. There was no mistaking how serious Rafael was about this wedding.
Just as the ceremony was about to begin, Tobias and his group stormed onto the scene.
“Out of the way! Move!”
The scene was packed tight. Tobias and his group forcefully pushed through, carving out a path. His behavior sparked public dissatisfaction.
“Isn’t that the CEO of Duncan Technology Group? What’s he doing here? Trying to sabotage the wedding?”
“He’s not just Rafael’s business rival; he’s also his romantic one. That’s funny, considering Savannah helped fund him back then. And the moment she went bankrupt, he ran into another woman’s bed.”
“Now he’s here making a scene? Ridiculous.”
“No wonder she left him. Deserved.”
Amid the wave of scolding voices, Tobias turned a deaf ear. His mind was consumed by one name, Savannah.
After forcing his way to the front row, he looked toward the stage only to find no sign of Rafael or Savannah. Just then, the large central screen lit up and the face he had longed to see day and night finally appeared,
On the screen, Savannah was walking slowly toward Rafael in a floor–length wedding gown and
holding a bouquet.
As Savannah appeared on the screen, the surrounding crowd erupted into cheers and praises, marveling at her beauty.
But Tobias’s expression contorted and his eyes twitched uncontrollably. Only then did he realize that he had been deceived.
The venue Rafael had leaked wasn’t the real wedding location at all; it was just a live broadcast. Rafael had seen through his every move and deliberately let him witness this moment from afar.
Soon after, the emcee’s voice sounded.
4:30 am PV P
“Mr. Raven, do you take Miss Rossi as your wife?”
Rafael smiled joyfully. “I do.”
Then, the same question was posed to Savannah.
She turned to Rafael, her expression calm and sincere. “I do.”
As the couple exchanged rings, Tobias’s eyes turned red with rage. His fists clenched so tightly that the joints cracked audibly.
The moment his bodyguards sent him to the correct location, Tobias charged out like a madman, hoping, praying the wedding would stall just a little longer.
But as if the heavens were deliberately opposing him, he was caught in endless traffic jams and red lights, driving him mad as he slammed the car seats.
Finally, after who knew how many red lights, he couldn’t take it anymore. He abandoned the car and sprinted on foot.
Half an hour later, he finally arrived at the real wedding venue, gasping for breath as he pushed open the door.
But the wedding had already ended. Savannah was gone and only Rafael remained, sitting calmly inside.
Upon seeing Tobias, Rafael stood up unhurriedly, as if he had been waiting for him for a long
