Chapter 8
The sound of clothes rubbing together echoed through the room, the fabric eventually slipping to the floor. Tessa’s legs wrapped around Tobias’s strong waist and with every movement, she moaned softly, the sound escaping her lips like a breathless whisper.
“Tobias, slow down… I can’t take it anymore…”
Tobias’s breathing grew heavier.
“Weren’t you the one seducing me just now? Didn’t think you’d be the one overwhelmed?”
“Baby, your body’s so hot, it’s like I’m dying inside you.”
The hospital bed thudded against the wall, the sound of muffled grunts and gasps filling the room. Their breaths mingled, harsh and rapid.
Savannah, holding the camcorder, felt a wave of nausea rose in her throat.
The discomfort tightened around her chest, but she couldn’t bring herself to vomit. Instead, she swallowed the bitter taste down, forcing herself to endure.
Her body ached from the miscarriage, each pang like tiny needles that seemed to pierce her skin. She stared at the empty ceiling above, her eyes vacant, her mind numb.
It wasn’t until the night stretched long that the sounds finally stopped. By then, Savannah’s legs had lost all feeling, the weight of the day pressing down on her like an unbearable load.
She braced herself against the wall, her fingers clinging to it for support. When the door closed, the silence that followed was deafening. Tobias’s cold gaze didn’t even meet hers.
He simply muttered as he left, without a second glance.
“Remember to clean up the room.”
However, Tessa didn’t leave.
She slowly pulled on her top, covering the lingering traces of intimacy.
“My wedding with Tobias is set for three days from now.”
Three days?
Savannah froze for a moment and three days later, it was when she had planned to leave.
She showed little reaction, merely marveling silently at how eager Tobias was to marry, then softly responded with a “Hmm.”
Unexpectedly, her indifference enraged Tessa.
Tessa rushed forward and grabbed Savannah’s wrist, her eyes blazing with fury.
“Savannah, if it weren’t for you, I would have married Tobias long ago. What are you pretending to be innocent for?!”
“All these years, every time I mentioned marriage, he hesitated. He could fool others, but not me. I know, it’s always been because of you!”
“Back then, it was my help that let him finish college. Why should he still be hung up on

you?!”
Facing Tessa’s bloodshot eyes, Savannah felt a sharp tightness in her chest, unease surging within her.
She was about to break free when she heard Tessa’s chilling voice.
“I heard you just had a miscarriage. Perfect. I’ll make sure you can never get pregnant again, so you and Tobias will have no chance left!”
As soon as the words fell, the door to the hospital room was pushed open and several burly men swaggered inside, grinning maliciously.
They quickly surrounded Savannah, their sticky gazes roaming shamelessly over her body.
Savannah’s scalp instantly went numb and she kept retreating until she was forced into a cramped corner.
Several hands reached out, groping greedily at her slim waist.
Savannah shuddered in fear, struggling desperately to resist.
But the strength between men and women was too great and her body was already weakened. Before long, she was overpowered, her arms and legs pinned down.
“No… don’t touch me!”
Unable to move, despair and terror surged within her, her tears streaming uncontrollably down her face.
Savannah thought she wouldn’t be able to escape.
Just as she was about to lose consciousness, a familiar voice suddenly burst through the
room.
“I dare anyone to touch her!”
