Chapter 65
3 years later.
Eric POV
Mom and dad were after Venus and Aaron to take over as the next Alpha and Luna of the Oak Pride pack, but they were both having way too much fun in the college and wanted to finish it before taking over. After high school, they went to the college that was near our pack, but where humans also studied. Aaron took psychology major while Venus took history. Both were doing extremely well and were mostly at the top of the class.
Gaia died last year because she could not take any more torture from Aaron. He was relentless whenever he returned home. Mom and dad were sometimes scared of his outbursts and how he got carried away in torturing her, but he was least bothered, He burned in the fire of revenge so intensely that he would lose control. The only woman who calmed him was Venus. He had become extremely protective of her.
Sometimes, Tused to wonder about their relationship. I mean, I really loved Venus as my sister, but how could one be so protective of their mate? I would often laugh at them and call them love–sick fools.
Vicky was still in the dungeons. She looked like a ghost nowadays and begged Aaron to let her go, but he wouldn’t. My brother had devised new ways to torture her as well. She had doled out every information she could about her father and her pack. We had sent our spies everywhere to find Danny, but he had disappeared with his pack like he had never existed in the world. His beta, who Aaron had captured along with Vicky, died almost immediately after his arrest. He had chewed on a poison capsule he had hidden in his molar.
Patrick was much better, but he missed Sera a lot every day. After Venus joined the college, he had taken on drinking. Despite my parents counseling him, he was adamant on killing himself, or rather living until he couldn’t.
Nathan and Ginger stayed back in the pack and decided to have a family.
I followed Aaron and Venus to the college, and right now I was looking at my sociology midterm paper in which I fucking failed. I needed an average C- plus to play football, but here I was, glaring at the paper like it was my archenemy, Professor Gunther Jock. Fucking Jock. He had filled my paper with his ant–like handwriting everywhere to show how wrong I was.
I felt like shredding the paper into pieces except my gaze fell on the two pandas I was living with – Aaron and Venus. They were kissing like they had met for the first time, groping and exploring each other, making me want to puke again.
“Can you fucking get a room?” I picked up a pillow and sent it flying towards Aaron, who caught it without looking at it and deflected it back to me while continuing to kiss Venus.
With a frustrated groan, I got up and stormed out of the house, which my father had graciously bought for us to live harmoniously. Obviously, my brother and his wife didn’t know what harmony meant. Don’t get me wrong. They were harmonious with each other, but me–well, I was a third wheel. We had three rooms in the house with our private bathrooms, but these jerks hadn’t left a place they hadn’t christened.
As I strode towards the campus, I made my way towards the library. I can’t help but think how would I focus on football if I had to focus so hard on studying. Hey, it’s not that I was dumb. I kept my GPA up all the time until Professor Gunther arrived. He loved to fail me. Besides, I loved the attention girls gave me. Aaron had found his mate and so the idea of any other woman around him repulsed him. But me–I loved that idea. Very much so.
I hadn’t found a mate, much to my parents‘ chagrin. But they didn’t know that the girls in my college also loved the idea of dating a big brawny wolf who was also their football captain. I liked the casual hookups. It kept my dick happy. They didn’t know I was a werewolf because of all the treaty shit. We also kept ourselves pretty under the covers, but they drooled over me.
Anyway, I needed to do something about my sociology, else I would turn into a sociopath. I arrived at the local café with a gusto. I was going to pass my exam the next time. But the thing was that if I didn’t pass it, the repercussions would be drastic. The dean would ask me to step out of the team. So, other than my gusto, I needed someone who could teach me. Just help me with it.
As I opened my laptop, my frustration manifested into an audible groan. By the time I am on the second page of the notes, I am pulling my hair out. Who the hell invented this subject? It was everywhere. Unable to focus on it, I made my way to the counter where I ordered a black coffee. As I stood there, I recalled my crazy practice routine and all the matches that were coming up. I should’ve given up on football because ultimately, I was going to go back to my pack and help Aaron with the pack matters. But Hoved the sport way too much. Moreover, I was the best in my team, which was obvious because ! was a wolf. Better than the humans in every fucking way.

Chapter 65
Sighing, I picked up my coffee mug and was making my way to my table when suddenly, a girl plants her hand on my chest. “Eric,” she said in a husky voice. “I’m so glad you came. I was missing you.” Before I could balance myself locked in her mesmerizing, stunning, soul–deep, hazel eyes, she curled her arms around my neck and intertwined her fingers in my hair. My throat turned dry as I watched her, transfixed. Well, hello dick.
She had a beautiful oval face with chestnut hair that cascaded down her shoulders. She pulled me lower as she stood on her tiptoes and slammed her lips on mine.
As if on instinct, I wrapped my arms around her waist and reveled in the most sizzling kiss I’d ever experienced. And I fucking groaned. A few seconds later, she pulled away, turned her head over her shoulder and smirked at someone. “Is he looking at me?” she whispered.
My brain was numb. Not in any pain, but in lieu of the shock of a kiss. “Wh–what?” I managed to babble.
She glared at me with her beautiful hazel eyes. “Can you look at the guy behind me? In purple tees?”
I lifted my gaze to see him. A blonde was snaking over his body as he stared at us with wide eyes. “Yes?”
“Is he staring at us?”
“Yes.”
A smile came to her lips as she blinked away a tear from her left eye. “Great!” She looked back at him, shrugged, and then turned to me. She took my coffee mug and sipped coffee from it, fluttering her eyelashes. In a loud voice, she asked, “Of course I’ll come, silly! It’s a date.“.
I started to speak, but quickly shut my mouth when she gave me a harsh glare that could wilt a flower. Then, in a low voice, she said, “Please, I can explain.”
I so fucking needed that explanation.
Starting with Eric’s story now!
