Chapter 69
Eric POV
Be my fake boyfriend.
At first, her words shocked the hell out of me. I had never done a boyfriend thing. Saying something is different than actually doing it. But I guess a fake boyfriend would for now. Because I needed those grades. That’s all. Nothing else. Trust me,
“Done,” I say, making a split–second decision. Once I got good grades, both of us would part ways. At the thought, my wolf growled inside me and my breath caught in my throat at his strange reaction. “I’ll be your fake boyfriend until this is over.”
She rolled her eyes. “Whateve).”
Ouch. My dick shot north.
I left her dorm with a shit–eating grin on my face, which attracted a few bombshells who fluttered their eyelashes at me, obviously in an inviting manner. But I winked at them and almost jogged to my frat house. Some of my teammates were drinking and having fun with girls when I walked into the main room. The table in the corner was overflowing with empty beer cans and toppled glasses everywhere.
Devin and Matt were fighting over the pool table and Devin missed his shot, sending curses my way. “What the hell, man! You chose the wrong time to enter.” He shot a glare at me.
I didn’t reply to him back because my mind was elsewhere. Still in the girls‘ dorm. From the corner of my eye, I saw Edward making out with a blond who was sitting astride his lap and had her tongue down his throat. He glanced at me, pulled away from the blond and shouted, “Eric, we missed you!” Then he went back to kissing her.
Yep, definitely drunk.
So these were my teammates. All sprawled here and there with girls and more girls. I headed upstairs to one of the private rooms where I planned on locking myself and doing some homework in sociology so that I didn’t appear foolish in front of Nicole when Edward called me. “A surprise is waiting for you there!”
I shake my head. My drunk teammates were in pain in the ass. As I head upstairs, my mind is still reeling under the effect of chestnut hair that cascaded down her shoulders. I opened the door of the room and was greeted by a splash of red, vividly spread out on the bed in lacy lingerie, her blond hair spread over the pillow. Now, I am a wolf. And I knew who she was and why she was waiting. “Ashley?”
Ashley, projecting her breasts more than necessary and shot me a sexy smile. “Been waiting for you for one hour,” she breathed lustily as if saying that I was about to get the best blowjob of my life or she would fuck me senseless. She got on her knees and came towards me. “If you hadn’t come soon, I was about to leave.”
I licked my lips as I swept my gaze over her seductively clad body. Ashley was the girl with whom I had hooked up this summer, but we both knew it was casual. However, she had started showing more and more these days in the frat house. She was the most sought after female in the college, and openly flirted with me, like she wanted to stake a claim on me.
“I thought I could help you out, hulk,” she said in a husky voice, “now that your practice session is round the corner.” She smiled and leaned forward, her tits practically coming out of her lingerie. “Come here. She called me, crooking her finger.
Now, I am a wolf. I should’ve wasted no time in going to her because she was dressed like sex on a sexy body.
When I hesitated, she got out of the bed and reached me. Snaking her arms around my neck, she said, “We need to get you out of that shirt and pants.” Her gaze dropped lower, where to my horror, my dick was not even hard. What happened to you? Man up, dick! When she tugged at my zipper, I caught her hand and stopped her.
Without thinking, I blurted, “Uhhh… I’m not in a mood.” What the fuck. I am a wolf, and not just any wolf. My father was an Alpha and my brother was one of the strongest alphas in the community, which made me stand in the same line. We wolves were priapic creatures. One look at sexy females and our dicks shot north. We believed in rutting. My brother did that with his wife. So what happened to me? Was I losing the touch? The thought made me shudder on the inside.

Chapter 69
She shot a dark glare at me. “Do you have someone else in your life, Eric?” she asked possessively.
Her question worried me. Why was she in my room in sexy lingerie? Like why would she even dress up like that? Was it for me? Damn. My wolf was growling inside me to throw her out. But I was a gentleman. I couldn’t do that.
When I didn’t reply to her question and walked away from her, she said, “I missed you, baby.”
Shit. What? Why?
Imean, this was new. Why was she saying it now? Ashley was never, ever interested in me, apart from hooking up. All of a sudden, her interest in me
made me uneasy.
“I was busy,” I told her a partial truth.
She closed the gap between us and wrapped her arms around my waist. Ugh. I removed her arms and again walked away. Fuckity fuck. Why was i getting repulsed by her touch?
“Did you miss me?” she asked with an edge in her voice.
I opened my mouth as I placed my satchel on the table and snapped it shut.
“Did. You. Miss. Me?” she almost hissed, standing in her place.
I was sure she was wondering about me not reacting to her like usual. Rubbing my face with my hands, I contemplated shifting, jumping out of the window and running away from her. I really wanted her to leave to focus on sociology.
“Oh my God!” she rasped, understanding my situation. “Eric!” she rushed to me, her eyes filling with tears. “You’re seeing someone, right?”
I swallowed. “No,” I replied. I mean, I was going to pretend to be a fake boyfriend, but that meant nothing. “I’d like to remain focused on football,” I offered.
“You can’t do that to me,” she said, a tear running down her right eye. “I was hoping to be your girlfriend now.”
I raised an eyebrow. Because I knew that Ashley only wanted to be my girlfriend because being the girlfriend of the football captain was a status symbol. “I’m sorry, but I can’t be your boyfriend,” I said to the goddess–that felt like thunderous relief.
Her mouth fell open as she stared at me. “You’re rejecting me? Do you know how many boys want to hook up with me?”
I clench my jaw. Yep, I was done. “I’d like you to leave, Ashley. And you may hook up with whoever you like.”
Appalled by my rudeness, she picked up her clothes, flipped her middle finger at me, opened the door and slammed it shut loudly. For a second, the whole place went silent. I should have stopped her, been sad about the way I treated the bombshell of the college, but I opened my laptop and researched about Nicole.
