Venus POV
The moment we found the letter, Aaron was already reaching for his phone. His face was like stone, but I knew the fury boiling beneath. He paced nak and forth, phone pressed tightly to his ear. He’d been speaking to Alpha Martin for several minutes, his tone low but argent. I stood nearby, my arms crossed, watching him with a sinking feeling in my chest. The letter left by Danny still sat on the coffee table, its words borning in my mind.

Eric was uneasy and couldn’t focus. He just wanted to go and find Nicole.
Even from across the room, I could hear the low rumble of Alpha Martin’s voice. Aaron explained everything the letter signed by Dariny, and the urgency of the situation.
He began explaining everything, his voice steady but laced with anger. From the fight with the fox shifters till the kidnapping of Nicole, Aaron didn’t leave out a single detail. He even mentioned how we had noticed Lexi and Ethan talking in the corridor earlier that day, and how things had felt off ever since. “There’s one more thing you need to know, Dad,” he said.

“Nicole is Eric’s mate,” Aaron admitted. His tone was measured. “We can’t wait,” Aaron said firmly. “If they’ve taken her, they’re planning something
After a few more clipped sentences, Aaron hung up. “Dad’s bringing the warriors. He’ll be here by noon.” When he looked at me, he affirmed, “She hasn’t realized it yet,” but Eric has. “And if Danny has her, it’s not just about her being a pawn. It’s personal.”
Alpha Martin reached the creek where we had seen the foxes first, and from there he called us to join him. When we arrived, we saw that he was flanked by a hundred pack warriors, each of them looking ready for battle.
“I’ll have Danny skinned alive,” Alpha Martin said grimly as he looked at Eric who seemed like he was out of his mind. “We’ll bring Nicole back and put an end to this.”
Eric was in his wolf form, unable to control himself.
Aaron, Eric, and I led the way into the forest, the warriors spreading out behind us. The woods felt different tonight–darker, more oppressive. Every sound made my senses flare, but I stayed focused. Nicole needed us.
As we moved deeper, Eric suddenly stopped, his nose lifting to the air.
“I smell her,” he said through mind link, his voice tight with emotion.
We padded behind him. The scent grew stronger as we approached a clearing surrounded by dense trees. That’s when we saw them.
The fox shifters were gathered in a loose circle, their forms barely visible in the dim moonlight. At first, I focused on Nicole. She was tied to a tree at the edge of the thicket, guarded by five foxes in their fox forms.
But then my eyes landed on the figures standing near Danny, and my heart skipped a beat.
“Ethan?” I whispered, unable to believe what I was seeing.
Ethan stood beside Lexi, his expression unreadable. Lexi had a smirk on her face, looking far too pleased with herself. But the real shock was Danny, standing at the center of it all.
“What the hell is Ethan doing here?” Eric growled, his fists clenching.
“I don’t know,” Aaron muttered, his voice trembling with suppressed rage. “But this is worse than I thought.”

Danny had already tried separating me and Barish, and now he was thing it with Eric and Nicole. However, the only thing that I couldn’t understand was Lexi’s and Ethan’t connection with him
Alpha Martin was seething when stepped forward, his voice steady and commanding. “We attack on my signal. Take them down, but leave Danny alive want answers.”
Aaron’s eyes darkened, and for a moment, I thought he might argue. But he nodded, his jaw tight with barely restrained fury.
The pack warriors fanned out, surrounding the clearing. Eric’s focus was entirely on Nicole, his muscles coiled like a spring I could feel his tension, his fear for her safety.
As the warriors moved into position, Danny suddenly froze, his head snapping up. His sharp eyes scanned the trees, and I knew he’d caught our scent

We charged into the clearing, a wave of fur and fury. The foxes shifted instantly, their forms blurring into sleek, russet shapes as they prepared to fight.
Eric was the first to reach Nicole, tearing through the guards with terrifying efficiency. He didn’t even slow down, his focus locked on her. The moment he spotted her, everything else disappeared. His focus locked on her limp body, and it was evident how he felt a deep, burning rage inside him. He didn’t stop to think or slow down. His only goal was to reach her and get her out of there.
Three fox shifters stood between him and Nicole. They turned to face him, their eyes glowing with sharp, animalistic instincts. The first fox with bright orange fur and narrow eyes, lunged at Eric. In one swift motion, Eric dodged the attack and grabbed the fox mid–air by its scruff. With a furious growl, Eric slammed the shifter into the ground, hard enough to leave it stunned and whimpering.
Eric moved fast towards the second fox. He caught her throat just as her claws came dangerously close to his chest. With a single, powerful twist, he broke her grip, and she howled in pain as she stumbled back. The third one tucked its tail between his legs and ran away.
Eric didn’t stop to check others. His focus was on Nicole, and nothing else mattered. “Nicole!” he called out as he rushed to her.
My eyes landed on another fox near me. I leaped at him. My claws raked across its side, and it yelped in pain, retreating into the shadows. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Aaron go straight for Danny.
“You’ll pay for this!” Aaron roared, his voice a mixture of rage and pain.
Danny shifted smoothly, meeting Aaron’s attack with a snarl. The two of them clashed in a blur of motion, their fight more personal than strategic.
