Chapter 26
Damien’s jaw tensed as Alexander broke free like a madman and pushed the security to enter inside the bouquet.
There he stood with his bloodshot eyes locked with me, hair disheveled unlike his neat freak image like he was breaking down from inside.
“Lavina! Ehat are you doing with this strange man! come here!” Alexander roared like a maniac.
“Alexander Hamilton you are not welcome here!” Damien stepped in front of me protectively, stopping Alexander in his tracks.
The paparazzi’s outside could not hear due to the soundproof glass yet as soon as the chaos unflured, they snapped pictures one after another.
“This is between me and my wife! Move.” Alexander’s jaw clenched, fists trembling at his sides as he glared sharply at Damien.
“Ex–wife, Mr. Hamilton…now we are mere strangers.” Alexander’s body froze as he saw the eyes that looked at him so lovestruck now held no warmth for him.
“Lavina…no! Baby are you talking about?!” he grumbled. “You are still mine! Those bloody divorce papers, they mean nothing to me. You’re still my wife!”
“Am I?…But then why on the day of our last dinner Alexander…” I said slowly, voice barely calm. “..why did you used me as a thrashcan? Remember how you piled up all those failed dishes on my place so that they would not go to waste because Stephanie cannot eat such ‘messed up
dishes‘.
Was I your wife when you starved me and your unborn child and let me almost bleed to death while you mingled in sheets with your mistress?”
stepped closer, my voice cold as ice.
His lips parted in horror. “No…Lavina……baby please listen-”
“You lost the right to call me that when you destroyed me!” I said, each word sharp as a blade.
Alexander took a shaky step forward, his eyes bloodshot red.
“I didn’t know the truth! Stephanie…that dirty woman played us both! I thought she was the one, but she twisted everything. You…you were always the one for me Lavina…my wife, my love..my future…the reason Hamilton didn’t crumble, the mother of my children…”
His voice cracked. “It was all you… When my grandfather tested me, I..I built my empire with your blood and sweat but I-”
He closed his eyes shut, ashamed of himself
“Is that what I was to you? A mule for your legacy?”
“No!” He swallowed, voice barely a whisper.
“Lavina, you were my everything…” his voice came strangled as tears fell down his eyes. “I–I knew you miscarried because of the stress…. the overwork I dumped on you. You begged me to rest, and I accused you of being weak…Lavina I am a monster but…”
My heart twisted. The way Alexander’s voice broke, sounded like he was crumbling…falling

apart
“Tell me Mr.Hamilton..do you think that’s the worst you did?” I asked coldly and Alexander’s wide eyes locked with mine.
“I heard you. That night at the VIP lounge of auction with your friends, laughing and saying you couldn’t let a substitute carry your seed.”
His eyes widened in horror.
“You said you couldn’t risk the Hamilton legacy on someone ‘temporary.‘ So you had my IVF medication replaced. You gave me false hope while you watched me inject myself with empty syringes.”
Tears slid down my cheeks now, quiet, furious tears,
“Do you know what the IVF procedure feels like, Alexander?” I whispered. “They take a needle the size of a dagger and pierce your pelvis. Again and again.
Every time I screamed, I told myself it was for our future, it was only right that I suffered because I was faulty while you stood outside listening to my cries and knowing it would never work.” Alexander stepped back horrified.
“I didn’t mean…Lavina….I didn’t want you to suffer…never…”
“You chose for me to suffer!” I snapped. “You wanted me empty. You wanted me used up so that I wouldn’t be in the way when your precious childhood sweetheart returned.”
Alexander dropped to his knees, his face looking at me like he was in complete shock.
I clutched Damien’s hand harder, my previous hold on him now doing absolutely nothing to stop him from going raged like a beast…he looked ready to murder Alexander in cold blood.
Minutes passed and finally looked up at me, tears streaking down his face. “Lavina…I–I will do anything. You can hurt me as much as I hurt you….no more…do whatever you want..please come back baby!”
I shook my head. “You want to undo years of damage with a single apology?”
“I’m obsessed with you!” he shouted, “I love you, Lavina! I hate myself for not realizing it sooner. I swear to you that fucking bitch Stephanie is gone! I will ruin her! Never look at her again-”
“You didn’t just look at her,” I said, voice like winter. “You chose her over me again and again…the day I was in hospital you made an excuse that her ‘dog‘ was sick and went to but a luxurious. wedding dress for you… You killed our child Alexander..”
Alexander’s body trembled hard as he looked at me recalling each and everything he choose Stephanie over me
At that moment Damien came forward. “I am very close to killing you Alexander Hamilton! You sabotaged a woman who would have moved heaven and earth for you. You turned her into a ghost in her own home. And now that she shines again…you fucking want to own her? Get out before I make your life worse than hell!”
“No! Lavina!” Alexander clenched his jaw hard “She’s MINE!”
Guards grabbed him, restraining him as he kicked against the marble, veins bulging with rage. His voice echoed through the boutique, guttural and broken.
“LAVINA! You are mine! You will always be mine!”
