Liam’s dad finally spoke.
“You guys really need to think this through. Sophia’s pregnant with Liam’s baby, right?”
“They’ve been together what, seven years?”
“Everyone knows that. And at this stage in the pregnancy, an abortion would be dangerous.”
‘You really think she’s gonna find someone better with a kid?”
Then he turned to my dad like they were in some boys‘ club.
‘Come on, Mr. Evans. You’re a man–you know how it is.”
‘The world’s full of temptation. Liam just messed up once.”
‘Are we really gonna let this destroy both our families?”
That’s when it hit me.
They thought I was vulnerable.
That being pregnant made me easy to manipulate.
That I’d just swallow this betrayal and play happy family.
‘Get out,” my mom shouted. “Get out of my house!”
She stormed into the kitchen and came back with a mop, ready to shove them out herself.
‘Don’t you dare touch my parents!” I yelled.

‘Oh, so now I’m the bad guy? After everything I did for you?”
